I've started taking creatine and seen some good gains. I got to thinking, though, that my heart is a muscle and perhaps it will have seen simelar size gains. Am I right to be worrying about this? Is a gain in heart size through water retention a problem? Does creatine enlarge the heart anyway?

Um...you're not going to get an enlarged heart. That would be a very bad thing.

Cardiac muscle works all by itself with no help from you. A special group of cells within the heart are known as the pacemaker of the heart because it controls the heartbeat. I don't think exercise will increase the size of the heart (Actually I'm pretty sure...)

Yup. It will. I saw it on 20/20.
Some kid died from creatine, you know.

Also- I heard that they make it from aborted fetuses.

They should ban that ****, seriously.

Forgive the grumpiness. I need to drink more coffee before I post in the morning.

WTF??? They make creatine from aborted fetuses?

Where do people get this ****?

Creatine has never been demonstrated (to my knowledge) to increase the size of one's heart.

Now, training with weights HAS been shown to enlarge the heart. That adaptation has not been proven to be a detrimental thing.

I hope this post is sarcastic. With the misinformation that gets posted around here, it becomes hard to differentiate sarcasm from BS.

Yeah sorry.
I thought the sarcasm would have been evident from the aborted fetuses part/declaration of grumpiness.

I apologize, and will use my accordingly next time.

To the best of my knowledge, creatine is as safe as a supplement can get, which is remarkable considering its level of effectiveness.

Well, I found it amusing. Apparently more people need to utilize a sense of humor.

I hope this post is sarcastic. He said it was made from aborted fetuses. I don't know how much clearer it'd need to be for you to see the sarcasm. But it's ok. You're still cool.
