I know you guys dont like questions about creatine, but i have some questions that cant be answered by the website sticky that was posted.

Okay, so i have been working out for the first time in my life for the past month and a half. I max bench press 145 and I heard about creatine, and went and bought some CELL-TECH creatine monohydrate along with NITRO-TECH protein stuff.

I work out monday-friday. I bench press 3 days a week mon, wens, fri. Its going to be friday tommarow and im am curious if i should start the loading phase tommarow or wait till monday so i am working out while loading up on it?

Im only 18 is it bad for me to take this?

I dont want to experience problems with creatine. So should i start taking the 2 servings every day tommarow and through the weekend even though im not working out? Or should i wait until the week and take it when im going to be working out

Also does creatine start working instantly when you start the loading phase, or does it start working afterwards. Also should i be taking creatine EVERY SINGLE DAY, or only on days when im working out, and when i take creatine should i take it when i wake up, or RIGHT before i work out?

Help is much appreciated thanks. :)

Also one question about benching while im on a roll here ;)

When your benching do, is it bad to arch your back? Because people are trying to tell me that it isnt and it helps you lift more? Or are you just cheating your muscles?

two quick things

one, welcome to WBB and

two, don't take creatine.

it's a complete scam made up by the supplement and magazine companies to make you believe you need it like you need protein powder.

yes, i've taken creatine, with dextrose, after working out. i stopped taking it and i noticed no difference. i know creatine is inexpensive but we don't know the side effects of taking it for 20, 30 or more years. if you do take it don't think that you're going to gain like 30lbs of muscle or any other silly idea like that.

I read in the the creatine faq that its the only supplement proven to work? Im not expecting it to make me huge, im not a moron. I thought it would help, thats all, sorry i asked.

I max bench press 145 and I heard about creatine, and went and bought some CELL-TECH creatine monohydrate along with NITRO-TECH protein stuff. When you are finished this batch, lay off the MuscleTech products. Overpriced, and works the same as the cheaper brands.

I work out monday-friday. I bench press 3 days a week mon, wens, fri.Can you post your routine?

Its going to be friday tommarow and im am curious if i should start the loading phase tommarow or wait till monday so i am working out while loading up on it?You don't really need a loading phase, but if you insist on it then it really doesn't matter when you start. Friday is fine.

Im only 18 is it bad for me to take this? No.

Also does creatine start working instantly when you start the loading phase, or does it start working afterwards. Both I found. You do realize the gains from it aren't going to be anything more than minor though, right? You aren't going to throw 20lbs onto your bench from taking creatine.

Also should i be taking creatine EVERY SINGLE DAY, or only on days when im working out, and when i take creatine should i take it when i wake up, or RIGHT before i work out?I take it post workout. Likely doesn't really matter when. When you are done Cell-Tech and by a cheaper, regular brands... toss it in with your post workout drink. Every day.

awesome, but one thing, i talked to the lady at GNC and she said that it is a fast acting supplement and it works right when you drink it, so drink it right before you work out. I just figured i would ask real people who work out, not some fat lady who works at GNC. :) So does it really not matter?

And the cell tech stuff was only $9.99 for a 2.2 pound one, whats a better brand? (it was on sale) Its also the flavored stuff, so it might be sick :0

If it's only $10 I'd probably go for it myself, lol. How many servings in that?

No, it really won't make a difference when you take it (in terms of pre vs. post workout). If anything, it would make sense that it's better to take it PWO since you should be having high GI carbs (sugars) at that time anyways. And I am roughly 99.9% sure I know more than the GNC lady.

i dont know how many servings it is but what the hell is PWO

All i want is to take this **** right, and not F myself up :0

Then do a damn search because that answers every question you asked...

Take one serving a day, post workout. That's all you need to know.

Does it matter if i take creatine with a juice er anything?

Canadian Crippler

It's Cell-Tech, so no. You might want to consider taking regular creatine with dextrose (gatorade works well).

A mix between getting flamed excessively last year for not using the search function, and then beginning to use the search function.

Look at all the threads that have been created on this site. There's very little info on bodybuilding that isn't present on here.

This isn't true - there are multiple benefits to creatine supplementation. But it isn't a steroid, and it isn't a substitute for proper eating or training.

That being said, some people appear to be non-responders. I'm not one of them - I really like creatine.

18 is fine to start taking it.

Just get plain monohydrate, take 5g post workout with water or in your whey shake, with dextrose (not juice).

A small percentage of the population are non responders, but dont discount it as a useful supplement. It works, and works quite nicely for a large number of people.

It's hard to say exactly because I was progressing while I started taking creatine. But I would say I was squatting an extra 10-15lbs and pulling an extra 15-20 after a week or two, gained about 8-9lbs of water weight.

They also put alpha-lipoic acid in it 200mg i think, they say it enhances the effect of the creatine.

Cell-Tech used to make me insane. The "voices" would tell me I could lift more everytime.

If I want to retain water, I'll go to the grocery store and buy a couple Hungry Man meals and drink a gallow of water. That would do about the same thing as creatine. :D

When I started, it helped me break a loooong stall.

Now I just take it all the time.

No.

And plain dextrose in water is better (and cheaper) than gatorade.

Take your creatine any of the following ways:
Dry in your mouth, swig back water or your post workout shake
In your post workout whey shake
In your post workout whey shake with DEXTROSE (probably ideal)

Harryhood

Dextrose is best, but you're fine with the poweraid.

Unless you burst into flames. Then ... not so much.

so you can go out and buy pure dextrose er what.. wouldnt that be the same as using gatorade or powerade to mix it..

Built

Same as powdered gatorade, but dextrose is cheaper. Not the same as liquid gatorade - that crap has fructose in it. And I have NO IDEA why they're different.

I get dextrose in a U-brew, or in the "wine kit" aisle at SuperStore.

thats simply your opinion, creatine has helped people make gains, maybe not massive gains, but it has helped them improve.....
