Currently i take 5g of creatine mixed w/ 12-15 oz. of water 45 min. - 1 hour before my workout and my Protein shake (20g) after my workout, mixed w/ 4 ice cubes and 8 oz. of milk, sometimes strawberries or bannans. What's your opinon on the time to take your creatine?

Most of what I have read is that Creatine before workouts is more efficient. Timing is up to your digestive system and how full your stomach is. Also, on days off you should continue to ingest it, but a lower does is ok.

On the protein afterwards.. the best results are within 30 minutes of your last intensive set of reps.. the amount depends upon the intensity of your WO and your size. 20g's sounds a little lit... I have found good success with a 40-50 g drink - but I am at about 230 lbs..

OP, did you say you take 5g 2x a day?

I've given up on the whole "before or after" thing - I'm sipping dilute whey with dex and creatine DURING my workout.

I figure - why wait?

So far, I'm really liking it.

after workout, because creatine supplementation is to replenish what you used during the workout, and studies have been done that prove that after a strenuous workout, the muscles are primed for creatine uptake, to the point that using a 'delivery system' (sugar) wasn't even necessary.

k, well, after my workout, would it be ok to mix my creatine in my blender w/ my protein shake, milk, ice, and a fruit?

Sure.

Or better yet, just put it in your mouth, dry, and knock it back with water.

Then enjoy your shake.
