He never said they were, and the weight he's pulling up is impressive. From looking at his website, I take it it's part of his conditioning for rock climbing.

Awesome work! I'm too fat to do a near bodybweight pullup, LOL...I'm lucky I can pull my own fat arse up. LOL.

pullups aren't everything I do squat and leg press haven't done to much deadlifting though. My squat is weak like most people who bench is high. But I haven't been doing them very long I'm sure I'll get the weight up on them in a year or so.
Bench 325 1 rep, 315 squat 1 rep

I went into the Marines doing 14 pullups came out doing 20 I never made it to the gym because be PT Mon Wed Fri and I needed all my energy for the 6 mile + runs. But I would do pullups 4 sets of 4 and for the past two years I been adding weight slowly 25, 35, 45, 50, 70, 75, 90, 105, 115

I like t bar rows to BB grip

My workout Program

Day One

Chest
Incline Press 245 lbs 4 sets of 5
Cable Chest Fly’s 220lbs 4 sets of 5
Bench Press 275 lbs 4 setrs of 5

Shoulders
Behind My Neck Press 185 lbs 4 sets of 5
Upright Rows 145 lbs 4 sets of 5
Front Raises 45 lbs 4 sets of 5

Triceps (1 or 2 of these Exercises)

One Hand Rope Push Downs L & R 90 lbs 4 sets of 5
Heavy Push Downs 225 lbs 4 sets of 5
Skull Crushers 85 lbs 4 sets of 5


Day 2

Back
Weighted Pull-ups 115 lbs 4 sets of 5
T bar Rows 210 lbs 4 sets of 5
Smith machine shrugs front 315 lbs 4 sets of 5

Biceps
Preacher Curls 115 lbs 4 sets of 6
Cable Curls L & R 100 lbs 4 sets of 5
Cable Hammer Curls 190 lbs 4 sets of 5
Cable Curls 200 lbs 4 sets of 5

Legs
Squats 315 Lbs 4 sets of 5 (some calf raises between sets)
Legs press 6 plates on each side

Abs
Incline Crunches 4 sets of 20
Cable Crunches 180 lbs 4 sets of 20

Day 3 off

Are those cable flyes standing, lying? That is alot of weight if you are talking about cable xovers. and the 100lbs cable curls (if they are 1 arm) WOW

they are cable on a machine I like the seated lever ones betterwhere you hold on to vertical bars

there is no way I can do 20 with DB
