So i hear i am supposed to take 80 grams of dextrose post workout.

i am 210 lbs is this correct?

also 40 grams protein?


exactly how many scoops is this?

assuming you use a level nitrean protein scoop?

EDIT: I forgot dex is a different consistancey than protein power.

Best thing to do is weigh it on a food scale.

well i was just wondering, because i'm sure a scoop of dextrose is heavier than a scoop of whey

I've found 1 level tablespoon of dextrose comes out pretty close to 10 grams. It might vary a little from brand to brand, but that should be close.

Could weigh 80 grams of it on kitchen scales and then scoop it out to see how many scoops it takes ?

Did you eat like 2 smarties and have some sort of sugar meltdown or something? 2 grams is nothing.

About the same or double what you're getting in protein.

Of dextrose, not speed or crack, just so we're clear ...

yep, typical rule of thumb is 2:1 carbs to protein for post workout. but I find that makes a gaggingly sweet shake.
I stick to 1:1 ratio, but I'll have a banana 30 mins after my shake, prior to my next whole food meal.
