Anyone have any experiences with this? I'm going broke, spending $40.00 a month on milk alone.

What about it? If you want to use evaporated milk instead...go for it.

Was wondering about taste/texture and things like that... I've never drank evaporated milk, so I am not really sure of this differences between evaporated/regular milk.

It is cheaper though, correct?

You could use powdered milk if thats what your talking about. Or you could just use water and more whey/etc.

powdered milk = $8.99 per 5 gal (CHEAP)

i think your thinking of dry, powdered milk, that evaporated/condensed stuff is the thick creamy stuff you use to make pumpkin pies.

I was curious about this as well.... plus it makes it easier when on the go, you dont need to get a gallon of milk and carry it around with you... just add some with whey and maybe some ground oats in a shaker, bring some almonds and bam, mrp.

the only thing i would be concerned about is how well it mixes.. from my experience evaporated milk can get chunky
but hey, experiment and find uot

How does it say to prepare it? Do you have to heat if first so it mixes? Then cool, or are you supposed to be able to just mix it with a spoon?

go with powdered milk, not evaporated

as i said earlier its cheap and mixes easily with water (or milk for extra calories)

evaporated is flaky and powdered is powdered
i believe both say mix with water.. however alot of stuff says that and ends up chunky as hell

So do protein mixes...

Blenders usually fix that though.

Yeah, but if you have access to a blender you probably have access to "real" milk as well.

I used to take powdered milk and mix it with regular milk to make it twice as strong. Not bad tasting.

Evaporated milk is still a liquid..... it usually comes in a little can. Don't know how you'd think it was flaky?
