I ate everything not nailed down. I went back for seconds or thirds. People would be afraid to lose fingers when I was near the dessert trays. It all cumulated on my birthday where I knocked back 4000 calories (this is enough to make me feel stuffed, totally stuffed, it appears).

Went to the scales last night aaand...

Down a pound.

...

sigh.

How did anyone else fare?

must have been the smallest desserts in the world... if you ate so much and still couldnt break 4000 calories.

I didn't track over most of Christmas. The tracked 4000 was the 28th in my Fitday.

I am weak. I can't sit down and eat an entire tub of ice cream anymore.

I'm up a couple pounds, but I'm sure it had more to do with all the beer I drank than all the food.

I tracked one day just to see how crazy things had gotten and I roughed it in at around 12,000-14,000 cals ... I ate EVERYTHING.. January 1st it'll clean up, but the bulk is still on......

Up 3 lbs in 8 days...
Too many chocolate covered cherries... a real weakness..
And Pierogies - an old Polish food... lots of dough, potatoes, cheese and butter..

NONE of it was healthy! The gloves were TOTALY off... Here's what yesterday looked like....

I started the day with 2 packets of maple oatmeal with 1/4 cup of natty PB mixed in, have a drink of a Met-RX mixed with 2 cups of milk and we're at 1000 already... then my morning coffee

A box of chocolates seemed to be pretty standard throughout (from 9-12) the morning which is an other 1000

Mid-morning a dozen doughnuts and a protein shake (the shake was to make me feel a little like I was getting something healthy) another 3000 cals another coffee

Dinner yesterday was light, a box of KD and 3 hotdogs with buns...another 1600

Between dinner and bed there was another box of chocolates that "went missing"... another 1000

Mid-afternoon snack- a can of chili and another coffee

Supper was KFC- 4 pieces of chicken, 2 large fries and a large onion nuggets... roughly 2700 cals

Evening snack was 4 cups of Special K with 2 cups of milk and another whey shake... 700 more

Roughly 12,000 yesterday.... yikes! (420+ grams of protein).... there were other days with bowl after bowl of dressing and gravy and butter and pizza and turkey and chocolates and poppycock and peanuts and chocolate covered almonds and pie and .... well anything you can name! It's been like this for about a week.... I've gained 2-4 pounds... Not as bad as I would have thought

BTW- today has been a little lighter and tomorrow it's back to clean again...

Easily over 10k calories on X-mas day. Was at the cousins, and she makes homemade chocolates and candys. She also had a chocolate fondue fountain. Everything I ate was covered in chocolate. 12 dozen homemade cookies dipped in molten chocolate. Probably 40 pieces of homemade truffles/etc all dipped in chocolate. Turkey/Ham/candied yams till I was ready to burst. This went on for about 12 hours straight from the time I got up to sleep. Extra ham, dip it in chocolate.

Have a hard time getting enough calories, get a chocolate fondue fountain setup in the kitchen and just dip everything.

I ate like I was being executed the next day.

GF's birthday - 20th
Work's christmas party - 22th
Christmas dinner - 24th

Weight on the 19th, 172.5 lbs. Weight today 173.2 lbs!

Which is good, because I'm cutting.

OK im bulking now, and im at 4000. I could never think of taking in 12,000 and enjoying it. So why would you want to do that? Even when i cut i still wouldnt want that much. After about 6000 things get a little distasteful IMHO.

A dozen donuts! I haven't done that since I was 16 (and it was on a dare, and I was so sick I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day).

That's insane. Wicked. :)

Holidays+family visits has the opposite effect of gorging for me. I usually LOSE weight over the holidays when visiting out-of-town relatives even though they have big meals set up. Being lacto-vegetarian AND on a bulking diet leaves my 'hosts' at a bit of a loss as to what nutritious substitutes to prepare for me - in the quantity I'd like since things like turkey and many cakes[eggs] are a no-no for me now. So this year I brought along some grains/bread/milk/veggiz. When I got home several days later and weighed, I was pleased I hadn't lost weight [nor gained]. I did give a few pointers to sis I visited regarding reading food labels - she was serving 'tv dinner' chicken wings at 1330mg sodium per 3 wings !!!! [2400mg/day the rda]. yikes- gotta read those labels. :lurk:

I ate everything and anything I wanted for the past week. I didn't workout for the past week. Today I hoped on the scale...down 10 lbs.

Some of the stuff was so filling that I didn't eat nearly as much over the course of the day as normal. I also didn't eat many carbs. It was mainly meats and fats.
