Hi. im 16 and about 143 pounds, 5,7
Right now im taking about 280 grams of carbs and 270 grams of protein per day, with minimul fat. i do cardio about 3 times a week.
Iv lost almost all my fat, like rip everywhere,
Do you suggest i stay with my current diet for bulking or should i change it up a little,
I was reading something about diets, they say 1 good bodybuilding diet is to have lots of small simple foods throuh out the day,
like insted of haveing eggs for brekfast with toast and a lunch then a supper, they say to eat like....for brekfast eat an apple, yogart, and a whey milkshake, for lunc have some yogart and cherrioos cerial..(high carbo), after school eat some cottage cheese with yogart and whey, then after the gym have whey, apple, chicken rice...
Does that sound good,
Any help would be great .
Have a good day

5'7" 143lbs? IMHO you need to bulk. Once your up to 165-170 go on a cutting diet.

ok well assumming your current diet has served you well then i would slowly increase the calories untill you are gaining weight.

Now you obviously do not want to put much fat on so go up slowly. 150-200 a time. If I were you i would start adding in some fat to add the calories.

you only have to add 20 grams of fat and you have 190 calories. so add 20 grams of fat and see what happens for a few weeks. if you donlt gain add in a small amount of carbs and some more fat.

you have to eat more to gain weight.

Keep protein high, carbs moderate and fats low, but not too low. Make sure your getting plenty of Omega 3 and 6.

The best person to tell you if your diet is good enough for your goals is YOU !!! Listen to your body and weight yourself on a regular basis (same time every week @ the same time). If your not gaining weight UP your carbs by 75g or so. If your gaining too much weight DOWN them by 75g or so. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

Good luck.

I had similar questions, but I'm glad someone else asked.

If he's not gaining weight, he should only up his carbs and/or fat? Not protein? Why?

He is getting plenty of protein at 270 gram per day. He only weighs about 140 lbs.

I stood tiptoe upon a little hill,

Opening line from my favorite Keats poem......:)

STC is a-right. I got a little burned on old Will - had two semesters of Shakespeare when I was getting my English degree. But I'm singlehandedly trying to bring about a Neo Romantic period :). One of these days my crappy attempt at imitating Keats will work, though!

i think i like coleridge solely for trip-factor, to be honest..*lol*

good luck and god speed with your attempt at a neo-romantic renaissance! (and imitating keats....come on..it's rhyming couplets...how hard can that be really? ;) )

Shakespeare can't be overrated (hence the name I use here--I was worried no one would understand it). Let's also not underestimate the rhyming couplet.

Tryska, are you really a beautiful Bollywood vixen?

well that remark on rhyming couplets was actually tongue-in-cheek.

as for my title....you will have to ask chicken daddy as he came up with that name. ;)
