Cyclodextrin is a sterol based ring of glucose molecules that are attached to drugs to stabilize and increase absorption, resulting in higher blood and tissue levels than injestion alone. The effect they have varies with the along with the properties of the molecule they have been attached to.

Beta Cyclodextrins have been used in alot of prohormones so companies can charge you an arm and a leg promising more absorption and all. This would probably be better answered in the supplements section because I'm sure that someone there could probably tell you more about them than I. They do increase absorption, but... in my opinion, the money you spend on prohormones and whatnot would be much better spent on the real deal in terms of results. For most prohormones, such short halflives, low dosages, low conversion rates and the number of other things they convert to in your body other than what you'd like, you'd need to be taking them every couple hours for the entire day for at least 6-8 weeks to really get any real results from them. The money you'd have to spend doing that would be more than enough to get yourself a very nice cycle of the real stuff, and you'd get results that would make anything you'd see from prohormones pale in comparison...
but like I said... that's not but my own humble opinion. heh heh heh.
