I have a quick qestion. I usually dont eat fast food. I find it gross and I feel like crap after I eat it. But because I was so hungry, I ate a Tendercrisp Sandwich and Onion rings from Burger King. I havent ate anything fastfood in over a month until tonight.
Is this ok in moderation? Im just really paranoid about eating fast food. Im not worried about gaining weight, Im just worried about all the sat fat and cholestrol.

Most people on here eat a cheat meal every now and then just to keep their sanity, but they continue to make progress.

If you're only eating it every now and then, don't worry about it.

Ok, so another dumb question...can eating something like that just once in a month change your overall cholestrol/bp?

I don't really like to qoute movies, but in Super Size me he talked to a few RD's. They said you should eat fast food once a month at the most. I feel you can eat it a few more times than that. Every now-and-then I get the Angus burger with bacon.

One meal in 30-31 days.

Try so hard not to eat there, but they have by far the best burgers.

i don't really like burger king, never caught on with me. However, almost all other burger places are fantastic. if eating at a fast food joint is so bad for me, i'm pretty sure i should be dead by now, cuz i ate 3 big macs and 2 orders of fries last night :D mm mmm good.

trasmi21, are you playing college football anywhere? If not, you should be, you've got perfect size for linebacker or defensive end.

I eat fast food all the time. It hasn't stopped my gains or fat loss (yet).

Haha, that's pretty funny. I've heard that a lot, truth is I've never played football in high school. I played baseball all through out high school, had a chance to end up playing somewhere, but it just didn't work out.

I got REAL close to trying to walk on to Eastern Kentucky's Football team. But I decided to go to Firefighting school in Cincinnati.

Here's a link to something I just recently wrote about my experiences with Baseball, check it out if you'd like.

The key to dining out, be it a restaurant or fast food, is moderation. If you go to McDonald's once a month, but eat 2 big macs, a supersize fry and a shake...that's like 1,500calories or more. Not exactly ideal.
Now consider a lot of people have a cheat day or meal once a week. If you managed to restrict 500cals a day to lose a pound of fat a week, but then on saturday you over eat by 1,500cals, you just reduced the amount of fat you would have lost.

Moderation when cheating IS important.

2 Big Macs, a supersize fry and a shake has to be alot closer to 3000+ calories. When a friggen Meatball sandwich from sheetz has over 1000....
