The day has come....I think. After breaking my clavicle in October Ive been waiting around for 3 months to do something. I know Ive made progess since they day. No more sling. No more brace. I can move my arm in all directions. I can also lift things at home/work.

So I think Im going to give the gym a try. I need to do some kind of physical activity. If nothing else it'll clear my head, and release some energy. I need an outlet for teh hAet! :D

So....starting tomorrow Ill be back in the gym. It'll be slow going at first. Im basically starting out from nothing. I dont expect my weights to be impressive. I know Im going to be very weak, and Ill be getting back into this very slowly. I think my clavicle still has some healing to do. Hopefully, I dont do anything stupid that would further injure myself...wish me luck.

Here is my idea for what I want to do during the week:

Monday- Chest/Tri
Tues- Legs
Weds- Off/Back Bi
Thurs- Back Bi/Off
Fri- Cardo/Misc

I tried doing some pushups the last couple of days (dont laugh!) It was a big step for me. I could not support any weight on my left side a few months ago. I must be getting better...

January 23, 2006 1st Day

Weight: 151 lbs.

So it was my first day back in the gym in almost 3 months. I was shocked to see my weight at 151. I knew I lost a ton of weight, but OH MAN! Thats down 20lbs from my all time high. No where to go but up I suppose. Ive been eating good, drinking a ton of milk. Fruit, tuna, chicken, turkey.

Im starting to lift down at school until the semester ends. Its free and a brand new facility. Its freakin awsome there. Everything you could ever want from a gym. Brand new machines and weights. No annoying music. Big screen TVs, and HOT COLLEGE GIRLS in gym clothes! :hump:

So I was a bit intimidated running my skinny ass out there for the first time in months. Pushing teh w3ak weights didnt help either. I stuck mostly to machine assisted exercises. My clavicle didnt hurt, but I could feel a little weirdness after a few sets on an exercise. My muscles def got a wakeup call. My shoulders/tris were pretty much trembling.

So here are the puny weights....*sigh*

Pushdown: 15x10, 20x10, 25x10, 30x10

Pec Flye Machine: 30x8, 30x8- I didnt like these, theyll be cut

Incline Bench Machine: 40x8, 40x8, 40x7

Front Shoulder Raise:10x5- no way, not yet

HS Bench:10x8, 10x8- yeah 10s on each side :(

So there it is....slowly Ill get there.

January 24, 2006 Back/Bi Day

Weight: 151 lbs.

Keeping up on my eating and lifting. Went down to the Rec Center (campus rec complex) and I had a pretty good workout. I was somewhat surprised about what I was able to accomplish.

On a side note...just to increase my hAet. I saw the dude my ex-gf slept with...it was kind of weird because I know the kid. Not on a friendly level, but he was one of her friends. I just give him a look...and concentrate on my workout. But it did give me some added incentive to continue.

Anyhow...thats my rant...so here's the numbers...

DB Curl: 20x8, 25x8, 25x8

Low Row: L 20x10 R 40x10, L 20x10 R 40x10, L 20x10 R 40x10

January 25, 2006 Leg Day

Weight: 151 lbs.

No movement on the scale...yet. But Im feeling pretty damn good. Im eating well and drinking milk/water all the time. Put down a few bananas a day also. I need to work on eating more cals in the morning though. I hate eating in the morning...especially eggs etc. I can stand sausage, but I dont like wasting the time to cook. So I just throw some waffles in the toaster, go with some OJ and a banana for now. Once lunch rolls around thats when the eating begins...I guess as long as Im getting the cals in Ill be ok. Also this is the beginning of a rehab for myself...so I cant get too crazy with teh weights right off. But I need to eat right to heal/gain strength.

1. Hot Basketball Chick- She had some short gray shorts, strawberry blonde hair. Seemed into the Cavs game that was on the big screen. She was shooting around when I was running on the track. So I took a peek here and there.

Dude, I totally hear you about the harnessing the ha3t, when I need to get really freakin psyched up I think about some dip hitting on my girl and it unleashes some primeval fury within me. I'll get so pissed I just want to pick a fight with the guy and all I have to do to kick his puny arse is to lift the weight, lift the weight, lift the weight... roar.

Hey, for breakfast I make a shake EVERY day - it's definitely the way to go, since in the a.m. you don't have time and a stomach for tons of heavy food. I do a (frozen and cut up!) banana, cup of oats, tbsp of natty PB, and a cup-cup and a half of milk. It works out to just under 700 calories depending on how much milk you end up going with (also cut back on the oats if it's too oaty for ya). But seriously, a solid 700 cals to start the day is nothign to sneeze at. Also, there's so little cleanup, unlike regular breakfasts, which might require cooking.

Haha, I like teh rating system for teh cardio hunnies - there's sadly only one regular here who even merits a single :hump: haha... get yo self some digits, boyyyyyyy

I think I might try that tomorrow morning... I have some chocolate milk (I hAet regular milk), bananas, and pb. No oats though. I should prob get some. Do you cook them before into teh shake?

As for the cardihos. Most look stuck up and not worth my time. Im not so great with cold introductions. Im fine with talking to them, and weeding out the ones who "dont get it" (ie. understand me, my sense of humor). Just eye candy at teh gym, but maybe Ill meet a nice one there. My ex works there also. I havent seen her there yet (as Im 3 days back into it off injury) but Ive talked to her and she mentioned it. So thatll fill up the tank with high octane hAet.

But Ill try your shake idea in about 8 hours when my ass wakes up for class...13 more weeks...then Im a freakin college grad! w00t!

January 26, 2006 Off Day

Today is an off day, and I really didnt want it to be off. Friends want to go out tonight, and I told them I would last week. So Im eating and stuff before I go out. Ill try to stay away from the alcohol. I wanted to go work arms tonight. I think I might push it to Sunday. I wanted to do Sunday-Weds anyhow.

I feel like Im not growing if Im not in the gym. I know thats not true, but I want that pump. I also want to get my strength back any way possible.

January 29, 2006 Chest Day

Weight: 151 lbs.

I think Ive gained a pound from last week. I may have read the scale wrong...I think it was a paltry 150 lbs. OH MAN! Went down to the gym this afternoon after waking up for church and going to watch some football (where I broke my clavicle in the first place). I really wanted to go out there and play, but I was in street clothes, and there is no way my body is ready for that kind of contact.

Chest day frustrates me because Im reminded of how weak my upper body has become, and how tender the shoulder still feels. I took some pics after the workout...Im skinny, white, and white. :D

Heres the numbers...

Pushdown: 35x8, 40x8, 40x8, 40x8

Bench: 45x8, 65x8, 65x8, 75x8

Vertical Press: 60x8, 70x8, 70x8, 80x8

Tri Press: 20x8, 30x8, 40x8, 40x8

Incline Press: 50x8, 50x8

My shoulder was pretty tired towards the end there so I cut the workout. I think I maybe done a little too much today. Afterwards, I ran about .5 mile, and shot around on the basketball court. I suck at that...

Yeah I hit the shake every morning now w. the protein...I usually do it this way....

2 Cups of Milk- 16 g Protein, 300 Cals
2 Tbsp of PB- 8 g Protein, 190 cals
1 Banana- 90 cals?
2 Scoops of Whey- 34 g Protein, 180 Cals

I have some gainer coming in tomorrow...Ill use that at night after the workouts/before bed...

I dont attend ND, I goto YSU (Youngstown State) so they are my 1A school for the poor white boy from Ohio :D Wake up the echoes!

January 30, 2006 Back Day

Weight: 152.5 lbs! Thats up 2.5 lbs!

The scale treated me good tonight. I started out at 150lbs, and now I moved up to 152.5. Im feeling good about that. Gaining some weight/strength even with the lighter lifting due to injury. The shoulder was feeling pretty good today. Although when I did 30s on the DB curls, I felt a little bit of strain in the shoulder, so I took it easy and went back down to 25s.


1. Hottest Hot Red Short Shorts Chick- Ohhhhhhh Sweet Feathery Jesus! WOW! WOW! I saw this one at first running on the track, thats kind of above the weight area. She had a little yellow shirt on and THE shortest little red volleyball shorts Ive seen in a gym. OH MAN! I almost sprouted one right there...to quote Phil Hendrie " Take a look at that....make a man's hand sweat" Tanned, blonde, tight, legs, ass, short shorts... I wont even foul up this report with mentioning another girl.

Well the scale treated me good again today. Looks like my eating and shakes are starting to payoff. Finally gaining some ground on teh weight. Leg day was pretty good. I added some weight to my lifts and also did some leg presses. I dont think I want to try squats right now with my shoulder. So the Press will have to be a substitute to old reliable.


1. Hot Big Rack Walking Chick- Well this one was a little thick, which is OK by this white man. She was walking around the track, and I swear she had to have Ds. It was pretty impressive. Nows the time to ride that train though, bc in about 3 years....Look out. Its gonna blow up....and not in a good way.

February 1, 2006 Shoulder/Misc Day

Weight: 153.5 lbs.

Still evident that my pushing ability is very weak, and it will take a little while to get my shoulder rehabed. This is the first time Ive done this day, so some of the exercises I took it a bit easy. I was a little disappointed in my DB Shrugs. I didnt feel weird holding heavier DBs (40s), but when I tried shrugging it felt weak. So I took it down a few pounds, to be safe.

I made a Kinks CD today. I liked them before and knew a few of their songs (Lola, All Day and All Night, You Really Got Me), but damn they have a ton of other cool songs (Apeman, Waterloo Sunset, Sunny Afternoon). I was rockin this most of the night to and from teh gym.

As for the gym it was average. Some douche kept butting in when I wanted to do my Shoulder Press. Not that I mind people working in, but he kinda just forced himself onto the machine. Then when I was inbetween sets, and he was off talking to his jackball friend, he comes over and says "Wait. I want to do another set". I just looked at him and walked off.

Yeah I cant argue with that. Im very happy to be able to lift at all right now. A couple months ago I couldnt even think about doing a pushup, or lifting a 10lb DB.

February 5, 2006 Chest Day

Weight: 154.5

Scale keeps rolling and Im continuing to regrain my strength lost from my shoulder injury. Im still a far way off from where I once was, but Im also much stronger from when I first broke my clavicle. Hell...I couldnt even do a pushup in November.

Also! I made a SEATTLE SEAHAWKS jersey. Itll prob curse the team, but its damn funny. Ive been getting love for it all day, when I was at the store buying my rations for the week. An old man came up to me and said "Good for you. Im tired of seeing these d*mn Steeler fans walking around." Also, at the gym a few guys came upto me and expressed their deep felt, gutteral hatred for the Puke.

I can only hope Seattle takes care of the Steelers. Bah. I might have to go off a bridge if freakin Puke wins. :shoot: :bang: :bash:


1. Hot Tight Black Pants Thick Butt Chick- She was pretty damn hot. She def had the nice thick bee-hind. Doing that silly crazy ellipitical machine. I hope she doesnt lose that...:D Curly dark hair, nice complexion. Gave me something to notice when the Steelers were on ESPN.

February 6, 2006 Back Day

Weight: 154.5 lbs.

I didnt eat like I wanted to yesterday during Not So Super Bowl Sunday. Then after the game, I completely lost my appetite. Thats all Ill say about that for the rest of the year....

Back day was pretty good. Im finally starting to feel a little stronger. Especially doing the rows. My DB Rows were cut a set short. I moved up my weights, but I did them last, and my shoulder started to feel tired. So I ended it on that note.

No great hot chicks of note at the gym. I saw a hot one walking to class today, but thats like saying the sun came up in the morning. Its a given. For a mid size college, in the Mahoning Valley, YSU sure does have a ton of hotties. :hump:

February 7, 2006 Leg Day

Weight: 154 lbs.

Im starting to enjoy leg day. Its the only day I dont have to worry about snapping a body part and Im starting to feel my legs gain some strength (some size too, just a little). I switched up when I did my leg press, and I was able to do more weight. So that was cool.

I think I might need to up my cals a little bit. We'll see what the scale brings on Sunday. I havent been able to eat my bananas this week. They still arent freakin ripe from when I bought them on Sunday. Dammit. Why do they sell green bananas. So thats about 200 cals/day Im missing bc the jackballs cant get a good shipment.

I also did a little raquetball after my leg workout. I was happy b/c I was able to run around the court, hit the ball, reach, jump, etc without feeling any pain in my shoulder. Of course, Im right handed, so Im not swinging the raquet with the hurt shoulder. But Im able to move around, something I havent been able to do since Oct 30!

******HOT CHICK REPORT*******

1. Hot "PINK" Chick- This one had the short, short volleyball shorts with "PINK" across the butt. She caught my attention by....yup...bending over at the freakin waist in front of me when I was doing leg curls. A man cant help but notice something like that. Her face was average though. The scale surprised me today. Maybe it was off yesterday? Either way it made me feel great, and I felt pretty strong today. I added CGBP to Misc Day, to work on my triceps a bit more.

Im beginning to feel myself growing. I noticed in the mirror last night, and at the gym today I could tell my arms seem to be getting a little more meat on them. Also, some vascularity is beginning to show. So hey...thats pretty damn cool. :D

Im thinking of taking a train to Philadelphia on St. Patricks Day this year. I went there in 2003, for my 21st bday. I had one of the best times of my life, and that was just on the train! I ended up partying with 3 girls, and a whole car of University of Wisconsin Alumni. They had tons of free beer, and food! Oh yeah...the Browns beat the Steelers the night of my train ride home when that was all going on! :D It was freakin awsome. We stopped in Pitt that night, when the game was on (it was an ESPN Sunday Night Game). I was so rowdy, the conductor cut me off. I wasnt even that drunk, just so happy the Browns were kicking the Steelers asses!

Mick: Man I remember that day....that was in a certain phase when I actually went out and tried...now I just let it happen, maybe with a little effort. Im still pretty damn shy. As for teh weight...I just eat a bunch, I drink a shake in the morning and before day (after workout). Plus, I think its just alot of the weight I lost after being injured coming back....Ill take it.

Well rounding off a pretty good week for me. Ive been able to practice my pimpin skillzzz, and the women are starting to notice my time in teh gym. That will last me until after I graduate, and if I stay in the area (which I really want to do) I can just renew the membership.

I enjoy the CG, but I still get a little "weirdness" in teh shoulder when I do them. Its not quite pain, just a feeling of "dont push it son". But I def improved from last week. I added reps at 95, and moved up to 105 on the last set.

You need to put some emphasis on something positive,observe the eye candy that you are subjected to on a daily basis. So I'm at the coffee shop getting my afternoon beverage and one of the girls has a lollipop in her mouth and starts to freak out because her tongue and teeth are turning blue. So I went out with that chick last night....I was surprised. I was at home about to pick up my guitar when she sent me a text. We ended up going out to see a few bands, which in hindsight, prob wasnt the best choice. It was loud and smokey, but I had a good time. She seemed into it and was flirty.

One thing that Ive learned from last week though is not to put any stock into her, and just take it as it comes. She told me to call her again, and I think we're going out again sometime. Who knows?

She was pretty touchy again though, and on the lifting side of it I felt pretty good. Now I know Im a skinny man. She was impressed though. Asked if I "worked out everday day". I got a "God damn" out of her when she felt me arm :D. Meh it was cool in that aspect. We'll see what happens.

In the meantime, I want to continue lifting and not worry about whatll happen.

February 19, 2006 Chest/Tri Day

So begins another weak of lifting:D I was pretty happy today with my benching. I actually got some plates on teh bar! :clap: I think thats a major improvement for myself. I was looking in my log and during my first week benching (2nd week lifting) I lifted 45-65-75. So to see those big boy plates made me kinda smile.

Went out last night with teh hot chick. Man shes fine, but I learned my lesson. Just look at her as a hot (gawd shes hot) girl and nothing else. She should give me sex...I should work on that.

Gym was pretty cool today. I like sundays bc Im usually the only one in teh weightroom. Sometimes theres one or two other people in there with me. I met a pretty cool guy there today. He saw me doing some weighted situps, and told me to be careful, he blew his appendix out doing too much weight. I talked to him for a bit about lifting and injuries. He's been shot, hit by a car, appendix blown up, and is going for surgury again on Weds. So it put my injury in perspective. I respect him he had a great attitude after all that.

Well enough of my ramblings time for t3h NuMB3rzzz!!111 and some pics....

Random Thoughts: Ive been reading my first journal on here for part of the day, to see where I have come from. Ive noticed a few things:

Drinking- Well looks like I started off with Jack and Coke for awhile there, then I moved on to Whiskey/Water. Now...well its just straight Jameson or Guinness. Definite improvement!

Women- I still have the same freaking hangups as I did then. I dont really talk about them as much, dont go into the same creepy detail as I once did.:D It looks like Id have weeks up ups, then some serious lows. Not much different today. You'd think Id learn to live with by now! After I broke up with the cheating gf, I was pretty shaken. Looking back, I can deal with it easily and I dont feel pain over it anymore. The thing is, now Im working on getting over the other gf. Ugh.
It looks like I tried and talked to much more women in that first journal. I wonder what happened to that Michael? I think though, with the trying, came trying a little too hard sometimes. If there is one thing Ive learned is that women are very touchy. Many times I think I shouldve laid off a little bit, or expressed myself better (socially/sexually). It seems Id end up in the "friend zone". Eek!

Self Improvement- What I need to do is first improve myself. Concentrate on being positive and try to be happy with who I am. Being in the gym again helps to a great degree. It has improved my self image over the past month. I need to see the positive things in all aspects of life, and be thankful for what Ive been given. Because...I could actually have a truely bad life. I dont, and Im thankful for it. I may not have everything, but Im blessed with plenty of things many people dont have.
When Im happy with myself and express that confidence the women will come.Thinking back...Ive had some pretty hot women. In fact...Ive attracted some DAMN FINE women. Women that some guys would love to have (Im being a little egotistical here). What is there keeping me from expanding this? Myself. But I havent been the reason for ending relationships. They simply made the wrong choice and didnt deserve me.

Working Out- Well I was once pretty strong for my size. My broken clavicle obviously has hampered that to some degree. But Im back in the gym. Short term Id like to be 160lbs or more by St. Patricks Day. From there Id like to totally rehab my shoulder and be ready to play football again in the fall.

Eh. Doesnt wasnt much different from other days. It was pretty damn windy and cold. I dont like that very much at all! I also washed my car...went back to its original dark red color, and got rid of the road salt white.

I felt very good at the gym tonight. I had good strenght, and if I may say so, my physique is coming along very nicely. Teh arms had some serious cut/veins to them tonight. I actually felt good about myself. I keep getting stronger week to week. And Im up about 8lbs from the middle of January when I came back from teh injury.
I also had a guy ask my for a spot tonight. That was pretty cool. Makes me feel like a little less of a skinny dork! :D

I havent seen any really hot girls of note lately. Unless you count teh hot one that I took out on saturday. Damn she's fine. Black hair/green eyes. Tall. Oh and she's put together. So guess what? Regardless of what happens with her...Im damn happy I could even land a girl this hot and go out with her. Hell...she came up to me! I didnt even have to work for it...damn Im good! :D

Today wasnt much different from the last. I got my GIS (Geographic Information System) exam back. I thought I bombed it...but when the prof came over to hand it out and says "Good job, Mike" I looked down and saw a 91%! Woohoo! So that made the day a little less worrisome.

I had a decent lunch. Where I eat on tues/thurs, they have this sandwich called Verde E Pollo. Basically chicken and greens, with some red pepper. I got that, a good amount of chicken, without the bread. Kinda messed with my stomach though.

No update on teh women. I havent seen any hotties at the gym lately. They are waiting a few weeks till spring break is around the corner. I havent decided if Im going to see that girl in her musical. I called her tonight, but she was at practice. We'll see if she calls back. Ill get the ticket tomorrow (its free for students) just in case. If I dont hear from her, I just wont waste my time going. I made the effort of calling, which she told me to do. Now its on her hot ass! :D God shes hot! :hump: :drooling:

Ive had some pretty crazy dreams lately too. Ever since Ive been drinking my Gainer shake right before bed. Mainly in the last week or two. Just freaky stuff...almost nightmarish. Nothing awsome like me and Vida Guerra in a tantric lovefest. My own subconscious even works against me!

Yeah I was in a summertime mood on the ride home. It was actually pretty warm here today, about 50F (I dont know what that is in that jive ass Celcius). I had a good night at the gym. Getting stronger, which in an improvemet as always. I did DB Shld Presses tonight, instead of the machine assisted. Man...my shoulders are weak! I only wanted to try 20s for now, but I think I can move up to 25s next week. I did move up on the Lateral Raises, so I was happy with that.

No reports on teh wimmens for today. Didnt see anything worth reporting at the gym, and I cant remember one that stuck out at school. Im thinking of trying to get rejected. As a exercise to get over my fear of rejection. The only thing is, I need to do it in a way that doesnt get me known as teh campus weirdo. I need to approach in the right situations, and THEN get rejected. Ill give it some thought. Maybe tomorrow night when I go out, Ill make it the first reject Michael night!

Heck yeah man I hear that - if the same places aren't working out for you, I think it's time to make the change. But dude, lame local bars are for guys who can't get game anywhere else. Too much drinking last night....ugh! This is the first time since January I drank too much. Surprisingly, I dont feel too bad this morning. My friend from Cleveland came down last night to celebrate taking his boards (orthodontic). So we hit a Mexican place...I ordered a small pint of Dos Equis...they bring me a freakin gallon of it. I swear this glass was as big as my head.

Then we hit another bar. Started off with a shot (Tullamore Dew...for you micks reading this journal) and a beer. Proceeded to more shots and Gentleman Jack even made an appearance at the end of teh night. Im getting sick even thinking about it. :D

A little late on updating the journal today. It was a pretty hectic Sunday. My friend who came to visit hit the gym with me. So it was pretty cool to have someone to workout with, but I felt a little rushed because he was going to meet the chick he picked up last. Also, I forgot my notebook. Bah. I got out of my routine, and when I pulled into the parking lot I noticed I didnt have my little green notebook. So I have to pull the numbers from memory (thankfully I have a good one).

I added some weight this week as well. Sunday morning weigh-ins I think are the most accurate, because I dont have a ton of food in me yet. I got some progress pics to put up.

I also did some "modeling" today. It was pretty crazy. My friend is a photography major, also graduating this spring. So he is doing sets for the senior show in May. So I guess I got to be one. I felt a little awkward doing it, but it was a cool expirience.

1. Bench: 115x8, 135x6, 145x4...big boy plates and more! :D

2. Incline HS Press: 40x8, 45x8 50x8...per side

3. Pushdown: 60x8, 65x8, 65x8

4. One Arm Pushdown: 25x8, 30x8, 30x8...bah I didnt do my DB Exts

Not too bad. I was happy with my movement on the bench. My friend said I had good form. So I guess my shoulder isnt preventing me from doing bench correctly.

Hell yeah boyyyyy, way to get that bench up there! If you're throwing down 1pps and the shoulder seems to have no problem with it, why not start there next time?

Im still being cautious about how much weight I put on it...I have alot of time from now until the next football season.

Oh yeah on teh pics 150= 150lbs and 159=159lbs....

My goal for now is 165...I dont know what I want to do once I hit that. Maybe maintain for awhile?

165 will be no problem. I say keep bulking once you hit 165. You're pretty lean.
