this article claims that anything over 2.0g of protein a day is bad, and amino acid supps are also bad...someone read this thing and comment, i dont know what to think! (i know nothing about nutrition except that i eat a very large amount of chicken daily, mostly because thats the only good food my cafeteria makes, and it takes alot to fill me up)

It's nothing that hasn't been said before. There's no risk for healthy individuals. If you have kidney problems, you may want to talk to your doctor.

1g per pound of body weight is another reason we drink lots of water. Water helps dilute excess protein and other toxins/bodily wastes so they don't cause problems.

Check this out:

Your liver takes care of the ammonia that builds up when we use protein for energy, then it goes to the kidneys. Also I have an article that states weight training actually needs more protein than endurance training. I'll see if I can find the article online so you can read it.

I don't feel anybody needs 2g/lb of protein in a day.
