Third, Animal Stak you ask? well it was a recommendation by a lifter of mine who said it would give me great results. Plus im looking to bulk up before next baseball season.

This post here epitomizes EVERYTHING that is wrong with bodybuilding in the 21st century. Kids are so darnded worry about supplements that that become more important than actually lifting and eating itself!

Your liver doesn't need cleansing - your body does this just fine. The other stuff doesn't do what you think it should.

Your spectacular results are entirely your own doing. Sorry to disappoint.

kevin ill see what i can do. i weigh 175 right now and i eat plenty my diet consists of a shake in the morning with egg whites, lunch is another shake as well as a chicken salad and sandwich, and another shake immediatly after a lift along than dinner and a late protein bar

I saw a couple of 16 year olds at the gym the other day squatting 400. The ROM was about 2-3". They had the pins placed on the very top rung (perhaps 4-6" below shoulder height) and didn't even touch it.

I see good things in your future.

Drop the weight to about half and see how it feels when you squat ass to floor. You can always load up the bar, but for squats as in all things, form is EVERYTHING.

It took me four YEARS to nail my squat form, and I'm constantly working on it still.

I'm going to let you in on an industry secret, joe - there are only a small handful of supps that are really worth taking:

Fish oil
Multivitamin
Creatine Monohydrate
Whey (which is just a food anyway)
Dextrose (cheap, get it at any u-brew)
and a few for joint support etc like MSM, glucosamine and ETS
Toss in something like a fatburner for those of us who fight chub, and that's pretty much it.

The most important, and most anabolic substance there is, is food.

Track it on www.fitday.com

Get your diet nailed. There isn't an OTC supp in the world that will do as much for you.

Amino Acids are what proteins are made of bro......

As far as a 400lb squat goes, im skeptical. Judging from your pics/age/experience, i think you are either miscalculating the weight, using bad form with limited ROM, or *gasp* doing smith machine squats, which are much easier than free weight. Worst of all, i hope you arent doing leg presses and calling them "squats".

I know what it take to squat 400lb, and if i saw you in the gym doing it...id call Ripley's.

I can vouch for that personally. I used to be one of the teenagers who thought supps were everything, and thats all i needed to get "ripped." well, i started eating more, ditched all but 2 supps (whey, creatine) and now I'm 15 pounds heavier in about 2 months.

i can differentiate a squat from a leg press. I dont worry as much about supplements as you think, i was just asking more questions about the ones im on. Im looking to get bigger quicker for the time being. Once my highschool activities are done i plan on staying completely natural just on Whey but as for now im content. OH and thats an extreme squat there Built, i dont know if i could squat the bar using that form, lol, actually ive just been going like parallel, i will make some adjustments tomorrow. Im going to start a journal tomorrow so i hope everyone will stay interested in it and help me along. I appreciate all of your advice and input, it does truly mean a lot to me thank you

That's how I do my squats. I'm a middle-aged woman and a buck forty soaking wet, and I can squat 165 like that. You'll be able to do them that way too, and it won't take you long, but you'll have to check your ego at the gym door for a month or two while you fix your form. Flexibility through the hips will be an issue at first. If you have trouble (everybody has trouble at first with these), work your good mornings, and do box squats.

Good luck!

Start with a light weight, and reach your butt out and back rather than thinking of bending your body forward at the hip.

Legs should be bent, not straight. You should feel these in your hammies/glutes more than your lower back.

Soon you will relish the "squat". It will consume your waking thoughts. You will laugh at the bench, the curl; all others are inferior to the "squat". Soon you will be a walking brew of T, loaded to overfill by the "squat". You will worship the "squat" and live for no other exercise.

Listen to her.

I've been lifting since the day I turned 16 and the most supplements I've taken have been a few protein shakes about 6 months ago. Eat those eggwhites, chicken and tuna. Lift hard. You'll get just as far if not father than wasting your money on supplements.

I was just looking through this thread... why would you want to block DHT? doesn't that make you grow?

DHT is responsible for initiating baldness and prostate growth, among other things. I read in an article that the compound is very important during puberty but doesn't serve any real purpose after that, other than the two undesirable effects I mentioned above. From what I read, DHT has very little to do with muscle growth. It's highly androgenic, but not really anabolic.

Even still, I wouldn't think there would be any reason to block DHT at his age.
