Everyone keeps telling me that i should eat peanut butter when i get hungry, but last i checked 2 Tbsp. of peanut butter had 130 calories from fat and only 8g of protein, is that really all that great for a weight lifter?

Yes, its really that good for a weight lifter. Its an easy way to get the amount of your much needed fat in a day. Plus it tastes so good, why wouldn't you want to eat it? Plus, you won't get as hungry as quickly after eating it.

Peanut butter isn't a high source of protein as you can see, but it does have a lot of healthy fat with is critical in any diet. Its easy calories, it healthy, it tastes good, and pretty affordable... which makes it ideal for a weightlifter

Peanut butter is a fat source, not a protein source. Mix it with cottage cheese, or in a blender with milk/whey.

its a protein source. if i only ate peanut butter, i'd be getting enough protein for my day if i also got enough calories. you only need a small amount of protein powder or meat to make up for the lack of protein in the foods that aren't protein sources, if most of what you eat is providng protein.
