View Full Version : wake-up in the morning, then cardio.. but when food?

my plan is currently lose bodyfat, and stay the same weight.

after waking in the morning, and going to gym, and running on treadmill for 15 mins, what is the best types of food to eat afterwards? protein? carbs?

i understand doing cardio in the morning, on an empty stomach, is the best for trimming up. the body draws its energy from fat reserves, yes?

also................... i wanna do cardio, then come home and eat or drink whatever is best for me, then go back to the gym and weight train.

the gym is a block away, so i can come and go at ease.

i would like to stay though, and do cardio, then weight train, all in one visit, with the benefit of cardio on an empty stomach, but where will i get carbs for weigh training?

maybe do cardio, have a protein shake, then train weights, then come home for more protein meals? with some carbs?

i'd only be training an hour or so with the weights,,, maybe i wont need the carbs at all, just a protein shake after the cardio. (10-15 mins on treadmill, running)
