Since I have gotten back from Vegas i decided that i needed a new journal. It's a new year and time for new goals. As it stands right now, i'm tentatively thinking about doing a show in April. This show will be the same one I did a couple years ago in Petoskey. There may be a few guys from the gym who do the show with me, but you never know who will actually stick with the diet and get on stage.

I'll be posting today's training tonight.

Borros- hey big man howz it going? to be honest im pretty lean right now..my weight is at 185 and skin fold calipiers is setting at 4mm at the hip and 8 mm at thr belly button.. i might shoot for 175-180 area. diet is mostly clean but i still have my pizza once a week and a bag of oreos on another night.. thr eomrn at the gym got me drinking a glass of wine every night..the only problrm with that is who can drink just one glass? not me

So true bro, it's very difficult to drink just one glass of wine - the dieting thing shouldn't be too bad for you since you've always stayed lean, just have to watch it come crunch time with the snacks is all...damn super leg session!!

bill- you are right on track.. the red wine is an antioxdamt.. before going on stage its suppose to do the vas. trick. never done it but will the next show.. o usually suck down a bunch of honey before stepping on the stage.
the problem right now is its nit a glass of wine. its the whole bottle.. people are giving me a bottle to try and to let them know what i think.. well hell its free im gonna like it anyway. i just finished one now.. not bad but i do prefer the white wine over red

DAMN man you still kick some ass! It's been a fairly warm winter so far,(no complaints) and I'm damn glad I didn't get a season ski pass this year (snow has been rare!) Although I still wish I were down south. I need to move (I think I'm safe now that I got a hair cut) ! Awesome leg day man just awesome!!

Silverback- thanks..my db pesses are down right now.. dont why.. i usally start at 75s or 80s to loosen up.. i think next week ill start at 75s and see what happens.

Nice chest work big guy. When you did the 1 rep sets on the bench and incline, were they maxing-out?

Nice work either way, dont know of too many builders who do one-rep maxes.

Silverback- thanks bud..ive got a bummed left delt that im waiting to heal.. i usually go to 300..315 is a hiyt and miss..my best is 335.. on the 225 ive gottrn up to 225x21.. i want 25 real bad.. on the incline its was ether 265 or 270,,,my mother side of the family lives in liverpool..my cousin owns a strip club there too..;ucky bitch, yeah she a woman owner..i also was over there last may.. had a good time

Cocoa- thanks buddy.. yeah ive decide to increase the reps on the db rows and pullover since the db bells only go to 110. my back is still sore/pumped today from ether the high reps on the dbs or the increase of the seated rows and ya know what ill never know cause im gonna increase next week

Wikked1-thanks bud..been awhile since ive gone over the 250mark.. just tired of carrying the weights back and forth..now that i have my littleangels as partners they can help me....good to use the virgin bar again...just sitting on the shelf collecting dust since no has been using it.

f=ma- the cable goes to 250 then i have a speacil bar i made that we call the virgin bar.. the bars set on top of the stack of250 then we add plates to the bar on both side evenly so it doesnt tip... i have done them with over 450lbs.. just give me time and ill be there if my back doesnt give out first

Silverback- aye mate thanks..nah im not that big.. at the gym here they call me big lar, lil lar sounds better to me yjough.. the db rows.when living out west last yr the gym i was at had 130db.. man did those feel good..

Cocoa- thanks bud.. the only thing more that would take me to the edge would be a hack squat and donkey calf machine then it would be a complete leg day

Silverback= im now at 181lbs..i think im gonna boost my carbs up for a couple weeks to keep my weight there.. by may for the show i hope to be at 175..jm also gonna add a new shake called muscle milk since my fat intake is low im hoping it doesnt hurt much.. still got a couple of weeks to play.. then i can hardly wait to be back to the 190-200 mark...ill be happy when i get the bb curl back up to 135x6 and the bench to 275x5.. right now with my weight dropping im struggling with my db presses

pup- thanks bud..so far its working real good.. what i am doing now is day one- app. 25grams of carbs per meal. and roughly 50 grams of protein...second day is three meals with carbs.. thrid day no carbs.. then repeat.. each day has 6-7 mesls...ab still at 4mm but the belly button is now between --6-7 mm..dam if i get that to a 4nn ill be rockin... ill keep an eye on it daily to see what happens.. if it keeps working ill stay with it till ten days out.. the last ten days ill heavy carb till the fifth day.. then nothing but protein for three days,,last two days before the show ill carb up again...plus do the two gallons of water till fuve days out.. ill keep ya posted

Silver back- if you think i was a beezy sanbagger on shoulder day wait till you see my decline db today for chest... i have never ever done decline dbs so i had no idea where to begin.. the front raises are done back to back with lat raises.. i use a 45lb plate.. one set i hold the side of the plate upright postion and raise to eye level.. next set i hold the plate flat and raise eye level.. last set hold at the bottom of plate in upright postion and raise to eye level.. keep in mind every rep i roll my traps forward and squeeze the **** out of them before lowering it.. what a burn

Yeah, I've had some physical issues. Pushed too much weight too fast. Paying for it now. So it will be VERY low weight and HIGH reps for me for a long time. I want to make it in tonight, but I better just wait until Monday. It's funny how addicting lifting is. Three weeks off and it is killing me. Then doc says no heavy weights, talk about panic.

Doing better on the high protein. Only had 15g carbs yesturday and around 150g protein. I did drop around 5lbs after 3 days of this. I will carb up tomorrow (fri) and sat.

Cocoa- the sweet potstoes are the funky looking ones you buy from the store..ill slice/weigh them as i use them..the twochicken meals yousee is im making ine to eat right then and the other to take to work.. as far as my strength i really dont see it dropping that much.. i work hard at it and being pushes by many people.

you aint gonna believe this but a heavy duty push down fell of the rack and hit my middle toe on the same foot that i broke my baby toe a couple of weeks ago..hopefully tomorrow the swelling will go down.

Silverback- not reaqlly mate, u skipped DLs and BB rows.. lower back were to tight to start out with them....[ agree about the stamina, probably why im ab;e yo ;ift like i do.. the pullups this is the second week of doing them that way.. i forgot to post it last week.. i plan to do them twice a week..before i was doing the, 2 sets of ten wide,Hammer and narrow reverse grip..so what im trying to do now is get as many as i can W,H, and N grip with just enough time to gasps for air and climb back up...here what i did last week
...19W,14HG,8RG,4W and 4HG..goal is 100.. not sure if i should set a time i have go to or just leep doing them till i cant do another one

Excellent arm day YBW,I do have a question for you,on your current diet are you dropping body fat? I need to get rid of that last little bit and it seems when I take the fats out of my diet my body holds on to every last bit,so I have to use fishoil BUT when I do it tends to accumulate and I end up with zits on my delts and upper arms so inevitably I have to stop taking them until it clears up so I am wondering are you supplementing EFA's in your diet? If so how much?

Wikked1- to be honest there aint much BF there..i believe im holding water there right now.. for sure by show time ill drop another 2mm..usually i try not to take in any fats but this time im trying it from the burger and muscle milk protein shakes.. after my last two jugs of it my fat intake gonna drop again..the ZITS- doesnt that make you feel like a teenager again,lol..never done EFAS...only supplements im currently taking are Lipo6, animal pak,muscle milk protein and my stack for workout- red bull,stacker and 25mg of ephdra.. im telling you the lipo6 is awesome for that stubborne extra fat.

Cocoa- hey man ya gotta do those bicep cables..ya really dont go to your ears.. you try to keep the tension on it at all times by going up as far as if you were doing a double bi shot and you only let it down 3/4 of the way.. keep tension on it all the time.. i usually do ten fast reps followed by five very slooow reps with a squeeze at the top as long as possible.

Miss Kate- my morning walks for the next four weeks are gonna be extra long ...haha u gave into the chocolate.get any pimples from it?

Silverback- the more pump/harder they get the more i lov it.. my atms were still pumped the following day.

KevinStartke- i was short for time that day and only did three sets on most instead of four......dont wanna get that long/short arm disease look that people have from not working them.

Cocoa- bad boy this weekend on the diet..had pizza,panckes and icecream.. will get back on track.

ShortSweet- yes MOM.. i think ive seen the last of the oreos.. maybe ill swutch to PBJs after the show.

Lar, Well I didn't give up. I made it home. It was only 9 miles seriously up hill both ways. My buns are sore, need a new seat. Missed last night but will be there today.

Although it will get a little tight and even stressful on your body down the stretch, the comp is something nice to look forward to and a fine goal to accomplish. Have you ever tried the regular bb shrugs yet? - if not I am surprised.

Cocoa- anybody who has done a bodybuilding show knowa how stressful it can be..anyone that hasnt has no idea .. anybody can diet and loose 10lbs or bulk up and be fat...im lucky that when i do diet im able to get ripped and when i bulk i can still look lean at it.
i do bb shrugs all the time.. i use to do them on back day then switched it to shoulder day.. just recently i moved it back to back day and thats where it is staying
