well I work out late at the gym and I was wondering if this is bad. Once im done with my workout ill come home and have a shake then an hour later ill have a big meal then go to sleep right after that. Is this bad to eat so much and then go right to sleep? Meal consists of alot carbs and protein.

I do the same thing, except for the shake part. My biggest meal is about 1h our before I go to bed. Still dropping fat and improving my physique. :-)

I would say you are fine to do that, but that is my personal opinion.

you can always sip your shake during your workout

hmm u knw thats not a bad idea. But then wouldn't your body be more busy on digesting and maybe not fully focused on lifts.

eating before bed is actually a good thing. think about it your not going to eat anything for 8 hours or so. Also a lot of muscle repair and such goes on while your sleeping. I usually stick to fat/protein meals before bed. But if its post workout then I add carbs in there too.

It's still a calories in vs calories out arguement. If you workout late, then eat your postworkout meal(s) late. Just hit your caloric goals and your fine.

if you're cutting... you could probably cut harder by replacing the shake with a decent meal.

If you're bulking food = good. Eat more.
