if it fits in your daily caloric intake then it's fine

there are better nuts out there in terms of amounts of healthy fat etc. but if they fit into your caloric goals and you like them and have them..then eat them...

Sure, but I'd prefer to buy the unsalted peanuts

Peanuts have a very high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, and they tend to carry aflatoxin, a carcinogen. I'd go with walnuts.

what about honey roasted peanuts are they bad for you?

i don't think any food can really be bad for you.. if its food food

honey roasted just means theres more sugar in them
if it fits in your caloric intake, then go for it if you want.

Peanuts have a very high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, and they tend to carry aflatoxin, a carcinogen. I'd go with walnuts.

almonds have a bit less w-6 than peanuts, but its not a huge difference; almonds are 2/3 monofats, peanuts are 50%. getting w-3s from plant sources is a waste of time. also aflatoxin levels are monitored by fda and are really low. there are carcinogens in lots of normal foods, what matters is if the amount is an actual risk.

almonds are good too; i eat both. but theres no reason to not eat peanuts and only walnuts from a nutrional perspective. variety in the diet is a good thing.

Peanuts aren't a nut, they're a legume... sorry I couldn't resist ;)

As others have said almonds are probably the best nut around (in terms of nutrition) and walnuts contain a fair amount of omega-3s. Really all nuts are great in terms of decent protein content, healthy source of fat, suitable for low carb diets and taste. Cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts, pecans, macadamias, brazils...

Just drooled a little on my keyboard.
