View Full Version : Evaluate my "diet"

It's pretty horrible. But, just evaluate it, change it, i'll eat whatever, as long as i can cut correctly. I've been tryin to stick with a diet,but its pretty hard. I suck at making a diet. I took fats out of PWO shake, and milk.

Shake: 40g of protein, 1tblespoon olive oil, 2 tblespoon of peanutbutter (crunchy) and 12-16 oz of milk

breakfast: I usually dont have time to eat. So i usually dont. I tried oats in the morning, but i feel sick to my stomach while tryin to eat.

Lunch: Chicken wrap (Caesar from Tropical Smoothie) And a strawberry beach (strawberry and yogart smoothie)

Around 3:00 pm i workout, either running or weight lifting.

Post workout shake:
protein (40 g), 12-16 oz of water, 1 teaspoon of creatine.

Dinner: I eat whatever mom cooks. I really cant tell her what to cook, and i dont have money to buy what i need, but, i eat whatever she cooks. Its sometimes baked chicken thighs, or breast. It mostly does have lots of proteins. I dont have a job due to no time.

My protein is called "PM Protein", it has caesine (sp) and whey in it. It doesnt taste too great, and is pretty thick, but i get it down.

Check out the archives for some articles on nutrition and then start reading the basic ones, this way you will gain some sort of foundation on what "diet" is...

A huge part of evaluating a diet is the breakdown into carbs, protein, fat, and total calories. You did not provide this. You also didn't indicate if you were bulking, cutting or maintaining.

Im cutting. And i will give a macro break down in a bit.

This is my goals:

calories: 2500-3000
fats: 90-100
carbs: 152.5-160
protein: 270-300

How did you decide upon these goals for your macros? 2500-3000 is quite a range for calories!

Gonna be blunt.

Your diet sucks, and, thus, your progress towards your goals will likely suck. We all "don't have time to eat/make food/wash the car/whatever," but we still make it happen. Suck it up.

Oats + Whey + Pb = a shake/meal that takes less than 5 minutes to make and take.

It also looks like your taking lots of whey. For breakfast, why not eggs and oatmeal?

For lunch, pack a tuna sandwhich or 2.

For dinner, try and make it as clean as possible, lots of vegies, avoid refined starches like pasta/rice/crappy bread, and try to choose leanish protein. Drop a tbls of olive oil.

There. 3 meal and 3 shakes.

Now fitday.

@Built. I cant remember, some one off this site helped me with them macros.

@Brickt, you said im consuming too many shakes? I take 2 a day...You just said 3. Anyways. I will work on that. And when i blend oats in with my shake, they fall to the bottom.. and make it very unpleasant to drink.

Also, why drop the olive oil? I use it for fats.

Grind the oats into a flour FIRST, THEN blend it into a shake.

Nothing wrong with olive oil, but on a cut, you're going to be hungry with all those shakes. I drop shakes entirely on a cut - I prefer chewable food. It's more filling.

well its strange, i dont get hungry that much, i have trouble sometimes getting my cals, because im not hungry alot of the time. So imma stick with the shakes. Whats a good way to grind the oats up? And does say 2 eggs and a shake+pb+Olive+oats sound good for a breakfast? than say a chicken wrap, and a smoothie (strawberries and yogart) for lunch, and then dinner the PWO shake, and then dinner (try to keep it clean)

that should cover quite a bit, add your veggies don't forget your protein, fat intake
