I like the powder: much cheaper. Pills may be more convenient for you though.

There's one major difference. One of 'em is in a capsule. Other than that, have fun.

I was curious about this as well. I would assume that powder gets to your blood stream faster so maybe you have to take the pills prior to a workout. I was also wondering if it is the same stuff, all creatine monohydrate or not. I would assume so.

Pill isn't ultra hard to digest. It's made to dissolve quickly in acid. Hell, if I leave it in my mouth for like 30 seconds with water, it already starts dissolving.

If you have OCD, then those extra few seconds might make a difference for you.

from what ive seen the major difference is price, and the fact that most of the pills ive seen are very low dosages so youd have to take a lot of them (which isnt great for your stomach if theyre the solid type pills, but fine if theyre jellies).

I like powders because they are much MUCH cheaper. They also sell it in liquid drops. Its funny because the more convinent the creatine is the price almost tripples. Lets compare....

Creatine Monohydrate (9 oz)- $12
Creatine Monohydrate (60 capsules)- $20
Creatine Monohydrate (Small bottle)- $30

Its all the same product but the first is powder the second is pills and the third are drops. GEEEZ, talk about over priced.

Simple free-market economics at work. The more labor involved in making a product, generally, the more the manufacturer will charge.

Also, people generally like convenience, and are willing to pay a little more for it (to wit: $2.80 for a can of soup at the 'convenience store' two blocks away and open 24 hrs versus $2.20 for same can of soup at grocery store two miles away and closes at 10 pm). The less 'convenient' a product is, the more incentive a manufacturer must give in order to sell it (via lower prices and/or extra product). Conversely, the more 'convenient' a product is, the bigger premium the manufacturer may be able to put on it via higher prices or lower quantity for same price.

The goal for the manufacturer is to price the product at a point where people are willing to pay for the amount of need it satisfies and convenience it brings and that covers the process of creating it.

In a nutshell:

Powder: cheap to produce, least convenient--lowest price
Pills: medium production costs, medium convenience--medium price point
Liquid: highest production costs, maximum convenience--maximum price point

(This does not include the economics of the affects of marketing or that of substitute goods. I would wholeheartedly encourage everyone to take both macro and micro economics in college or by independent study--it really is fascinating how most of the world works.)

with mono, it has like no taste and is pretty stable so it does not matter that much.

with CEE its tastes awful and is not all that stable. I use and reccomend caps. PureCEE is what I reccomend because as far as I know they are the only company that uses chromadex testing. Plus all the stuff anafit has productwise has a effectiveness track record, in my experience that has been very good. But I am sure that there are other companies that have good CEE.

It will be a cold day in hell before i pay $30 bucks for a SMALL bottle of creatine drops. I stress small here, my travel size deoderant puts that bottle to shame. Now if they upped the size i'd consider it...

I wasn't justifying the price, just explaining it. Evidently there are enough consumers buying the liquid to maintain the manufacturer's profit goals.

As I stated above, I paid like 30 bucks for a year's supply of CEE in powder form. I put a bunch of it in a ziplock back and put it in my workout bag along w. a little measuring spoon. I just toss some in my water bottle when I'm done, and that takes care of that dose. I don't find the powder form all that inconvenient.
