My mom got a package of frozen cranberries for me to use in shakes and the label says they have 26 grams of protein per serving which kind of blew my mind. I thought most fruit had little protein. Is this label full of sh*t or what?

Also, the package says they are from Door County on the west side of lake michigan which it says has a temperate climate which makes it prime for fruit crops. Still, 26 grams of protein for fruit doesn't make sense, but if it is true that would be cool.

You sure it's not saying the whole package has 26g of protein?

it says 26 grams of protein per serving and 3 servings per package, so a total of 78 grams of protein per 12 ounces. Seems crazy, but if it is true, I can dig it. I might try to contact the company and find out more about these "super" cranberries.

If the ingredients are only cranberries ... then yes it is wrong.
