i'm looking into these supplements and i've heard of creatine being a pseudo-steroid and stuff, but after reading up on it, i've heard that it isnt. in some other forums they say this:

Q: Which supplement is Better Creatine or Protein?

A: ( I probably get asked this question at least once a day through email.) Amino acids are the building blocks of our muscles. If you do not get enough than there is no point to working out. Creatine is an outstanding supplement, but if you have to choose from getting at least 1 gram a day of protein or getting your creatine then opt for the protein. However I do want to stress that creatine is an excellent supplement. In fact for assistance in muscular gains I would rate it second only to whey.

so should i use creatine? whey? or both?

Use neither.

Get your diet and training in check and then consider supplementation.

If I were forced to choose only 1 of the 2 I would go with creatine.

Um. Both. Protein is a nutrient, not a supplement. So eat protein. And take creatine, it works.

So, um, there.

I'd also say both but if for some unknown reason i couldnt have one or the other i would go with whey. If you think about it you cant lift hard and gain muscle without good protein in your diet. If you didnt have whey think of the thousands of chickens you'd have to eat in a given month to match the protein in one tub of good quality whey protein.

I use creatine atm and it helps me out alot, all my lifts go up and it seems like i cant get injuried when i am on it at a long period of time, but im thinking about switching to whey and creatine when summer starts so i can bulk up and train even harder during summer cuse ill get more time to workout.

- I just hope there aint any bad side effects from takeing them expect getting huge.
