Is there a difference when taking whey protein brands?? For example I want to buy 5lbs. and am deciding between the "100% Whey Classic-Chocolate 5lbs." and the "100% Whey Gold Standard - Chocolate" << which got supplement of the year or something in 2005. Both have about the same amount of protein and the same size (5 lbs.) The gold standard claims to have more amino acids in it....Dunno if that means anything? Like if it is really going to make a difference. Thanks, any help would be awesome on deciding whether to shell out the extra 15 bucks!!!!

Go to TrueProtein.com I just ordered 5 pounds of Whey Protein Isolate Cold Filtration, with Vitamins and minerals AND Aminogens mixed in for 40.00 or so shipped to my door. The flavoring I chose was a little extra but made by Black Star Labs...BSL...and is unbeatable. Definately check them out before ordering elsewhere. you can also custom make protein powder with almost any supplement, carb, fat etc that you want if you are prepping for a contest or just like to make custom stuff.

They also offer good discounts for 10 pounds and over.

Most people here would suggest nitrean sold by atlargenutrition, it mixes well, has added benefits such as a egg, whey, and casein proteins which is ideal for a protein shake because it will absorb at different rates over about 4 hours. I agree that this is a good choice, especially effective before bed.
Also you may notice it is 35 dollars which may seem similar in price to department store brands/gnc however realize it is a blend not just straight whey like most hence the difference in price.

The true protein stuff mixes UNBELIEVABLE!! I mix in a cup with a spoon. Stir for about 15 seconds and crystal clear no gritty little bumps and especially no clumps.

Tru Protein also sells belnds similiar to what CTS suggested but a lot cheaper.
Go to the link below to view it. Or go to their mainpage click on protein at the top not the side and then click pre-mixed formulas. The custom stuff can be tricky you have to know the percentages really well. I get the straight Whey Protein Isolate cold filtered and add the BSL flavoring. For the price try a pound cant go wrong. The worse thing that'll happen is you dont like it and you lose out ten bucks.
