yeah, i was reading that the other day.. pretty crazy stuff. I don't think I could last on an all liquid diet. I really can't wait to see the pictures of how it looks at the end of the cut though.

The single most incredible cut I have ever seen.
5lbs/week is insane, and to have lost only 4lbs of LBM while doing it is unheard of.
I lost 83lbs consecutively once, but it took me a year and a half. LOL

The guy has been a member here for a long time. He has not history of false claims. There is nothing fishy about it.

Would it be more credible if he said he was using a product other than one by at large?
Not everyone has access to a digital camera; simple as that.
He went from 244lbs at 35% bf to 184lbs at 16% in 12 weeks. That's 5 lbs a week. Most things you read about PSMF diets suggest you will easily lose 10-20lbs in the first few weeks if you are seriously overweight (most of this is water weight) and then it is easy to lose 5lbs a week after that. His claim is entirely credible.
The preservation of his LBM was thanks to the amount of protein he was taking in and his lifting. Diets like this are designed to maintain muscle mass (PROTEIN SPARING Modified Fast).
Don't be a hater :p

If you read the guys thread he makes no claims to take "the magic pill" and eat whatever he wants.
If you are well versed in dieting research you would know it is very possible for someone with that high a bf% to loose what he did on a PMSF diet. It is an extreme diet and most who use it and claim it does not work are not dedicated enough to follow it. Keeping protein high and training allows the body to keep muscle while on very low calories.

Please note, I am not saying that Nitrean allowed him to lose all of the fat and retain the muscle. Nitrean was PART of a extreme diet and training program. As the man said himself he felt that Nitrean was a big help due to the fact it helped to satiate him better than any other product he had tried.
The bottom line, it is just a nice testimonial about Nitrean.

I'll go out on a limb and say this diet would have been impossible with a whey only product.
He would never have been full enough to stick to it.

I assume this is directed at me.
When did I say anything about a magic pill? I am a believer in dedication and hard work.

Not getting in the middle of this... But being on a diet and eating only 800 calories a day for 12 weeks is some pretty hardcore dedication if you ask me! The only difference between him and, say perhaps someone who diets 1 pound a week over a long course could probablably be described as the difference between a sprinter and a long distance runner... Both take discpline, but a different kind.
I do not have a hard time believing that he lost that much weight. I myself lost 38 pounds in 12 weeks and I didn't go anywhere near as strict as him. I was eating around 2,000 and working out hardcore. So, he eats 800 and loses another 22 pounds, which if taken 2000 - 800 = 1200 X 12 X 7 / 3500 = 28.8 pounds, which is essentially 66.8 pounds total, in my case, if I were to have eaten that many, assuming the metabolism wouldn't slow down in my case... Translation? Basically, it is perfectly reasonable to see how this person lost that much weight and I am damn proud of him for sticking to it!
My thoughts are scattered in the above paragraph, but doing the math and figuring in a tad slower metablism from the lower calories turns out to be just the amount of weight he lost.

I'm also doing the samething.. PSMF and Nitrean with some solid food and I carbup once a week.. Was doing it twice but found that I would hit a alltime low weight and then have to eat...so I was always figthing it.. but I have lost 9lbs in 20 days..so far,
I really beleive in Lyle McDonalds Stuff... but him as a person and his forum suck wind..

Yeah, maybe I'll give it a shot too.
I wonder if there will be any problems using Nitrean and Opticen, instead of only Nitrean. Spring Break is comming up soon...

Chase is a different story all together. He is on a liquid diet to allow him to eat the very high number of calories he needs. It is also a very convenient way to diet if you can stomach it. Please note that to the best of my knowledge Chase did eat 1-2 normal meals.
Bulk, maintenance or bulk just make sure to take vitamins, EFAs to supplement the all liquid diet.

Chase uses lots of oatmeal in his shakes so he is ingesting solid food.
I wish I didn't hate oatmeal so much because I feel so good after I eat it.

I wish I didn't hate oatmeal so much because I feel so good after I eat it.I had a 40 oz. oatmeal/banana shake once. *shrugs* It was so thick it took like an hour to drink. Why do you hate oatmeal? Even if I don't like something, but I know it'll benefit me, I'll eat it anyway. Mind over body.

Why do you hate oatmeal?
I just hate the taste.
Even after I grind it and mix it into a shake I just can't stand it.
It took me 5 years of gradual changes to eat clean. I make oatmeal bars that taste awesome but I would like to find a way to drink it.
