I've been working out two months now. I started at 247, went up to 255 and today I am 250. I am trying to get to 235 but at 10% bodyfat.

what would you say my bodyfat % is?

Really? That's about where I'm at (proportionately) and I've been pegging myself at somewhere between 18 and 22.

post some pics. I doubt very much that you, or I, are at 18-22%bf

I've been wanting to for months to get a ballpark bf guess. 1) Can't afford a camera and 2) Couldn't count on any of my friends to keep a straight face while taking pics.

Hope you are 14. It would put me at closer to 16 than 25. :)

you can get the accumeasure bf caliper for as low as $6.99 online.

Yeah, I've got one. It's moved from 20mm superilliac to 16 this cut. According to their charts for a 30 year old that's 18-21%. Your stomach area is hard to see so I was going off upper body, but I guess that would be pretty similar at a 4% difference.

my suprailliac is 10-11mm consistently. I read somewhere to add 3% so, 11.7% plus 3 percent = 14.7%

I'd guess 15-16%...

well to those who said 15-16, I guess you are right in the ballpark (as much as that pains me.

I found a three site testing system that put me at 16.4%

also, using the accumeasure /nickel correction system that I just found, I am at exactly 14.7%, so I am going to say I am anywhere from 14.7% to 16.4%

by the way, here is the three point site

try using the 7 point method on ExRx.net I find that its the most reliable of all the site testings..

http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/BodyComp.html

btw you look 14% , and nice job on the weight loss

Edit: if you go back one page you can find a layout of all 7 points that tells you exactly where they are and how to get the best pinch..

thanks bro. I was 249 this morning so progress is being made :D

as for my lifts, I confess in another thread that I am pretty weak.

bench 4 sets of 235 X 8, 6, 5,1
deadlift 3 sets of 250 x 6,5,5
squat 3 sets of 185 x 8,6,6 my squats are low because I started later and I heard that tall guys have problems with squats.
