Time is your answer. You look good for 2.5 months, but the real change will be two years down the road.

Keep it up!

I believe bearwolf is saying squats will expand the ribcage. Or that it they will help stimulate over all growth.

rk77
03-01-2006, 05:12 PM
i doubt it expands the rib cage

russ
03-01-2006, 05:13 PM

well it helps stimulate overall growth.

I think you may be correct. Some think breathing squats along with pullovers=bigger ribcage

Im a 19 year old, ive been training for like 2 years hard, and i want to enter some lifting competitions, because ive been told that i could win some RAW benchpress competitions. I had a huge muscle growth last year: I gained 50lbs in only 3 weeks, and my strenght sky rocketed. Is this normal?
chest:54"
waist:36" Current lifts:
calves:19" bench:502lbs
Thighs:32" cleans:380lbs
bicepts:21" squat:580lbs
forearms:16" incline press:385lbs
hieght:6'2
weight:265lbs

It is a physical impossibility to gain that much mass in 3 weeks.
Your body can gain at a maximum of approximately 3% of youre total body weight. For example, if you weighed 200 pounds in a 3 week period you should only be able to gain about 6-8 pounds at a max. This is aslo considering you are eating an insane amount of calories and working your ass of at the gym. Most of this 6-8 pounds would be fat just due to the over amounts of eating you would have to commence.
This is why when bulking most people can gain 1-1.5% of your total body weight in a 3 week period and even thats hard to do.

im 205 and its a b*tch for me to put on sold weight. the most i could gain in 3 weeks is probably 3 pounds. but thats just me.
The amount of weight that you can put on also depnds on your age and weight. A newb can put on more weight at 16 years of age in 3 weeks than i could at age 22 at 205.

This is just an approximation from what i have seen in the gym and people's stats and gains.

But the point is ...50 pounds....i dont think so

Well i guess i sound like a freak, but if you want a pic ill be gladly to put one on my profile soon, i really did put on 50lbs, and if you beleive me great, if not i dont care, i thought it was abnormal too, everything i have told you is true, and just because im 19 yrs doesnt mean i have to be smaller then a 24 yr old. and sorry but it is possible to gain 50lbs in 3 weeks, cuz i did, so i beleive it.Thanks for nothing, but a pic will be on my profile soon, of before and after, see ya

DumbDude

If you saw my pics and think i look like a "bean pole"... then thats fine. However, you still dont know how to spell. Oh yeah, "cuz" is not a word either.

DumbDude I saw your pics and you've got a good build, far from 'Bean Pole' but the guy sounds sincere about his original, no need for anyone to flame him, yet. I mean he hasn't promoted a product yet but Mustang you posted in the wrong thread with your Q. No biggie, now you know.

crunkdizzle
03-07-2006, 08:54 AM
yo even if u put pics up showin that u gained 50 lbs it doesnt mean that it is true that it was 3 weeks even tho u'll say it was. it is not possible. so just quit tryin to f****n piss people off bc ur lyin about everything ur sayin. i bet ur a lil 100 lb p**sy who just feels better about him self by lying to a bunch of people who are bigger and stronger than him.

viper200202

Just ask a doctor or a health expert and ask if its possible to gain 50 lbs in 3 weeks.... you could only imagine what they would say....
Anyways this thread is getting :offtopic:
Lets just close it

#2 He shouldnt post his 'stats' in a post that is not his.
#3 Any time someone makes claims just fishing for compliments they better back it up with a picture. Just my opinion.

Thanks for at least being polite bayarealexo for at least not being a cock.Second, why would I make such a random thing up, yes it sounds crazy, but why would i make up that I gained 50lbs.And I wasnt trying to piss anyone off, you all attacked me, all i wanted to know was if anyone has seen or heard about something like that. so im sorry if i ruined this guys thread. Thats ok if you think im a 100lbs of bones, I dont care, I will be more than happy to show pictures of me, I have nothing be ashamed of,and im sorry i said some things like "bean pole" and what not, i was heated at the moment, and im sorry.Anyways im sorry, and good luck in your goals.

i guess my traps are just real good by genetics, i dont work any harder on then than i do anyother muscle. i do really heavy shoulder presses, alternate front arm raises, shrugs, and upright rows

i told some of you how my lats just wont grow and im taking your advice.. i started a new routine, and you STILL cant even tell they are there. i dont know what to do.. i see alot of you guys' lats and im soo jealous lol
