View Full Version : How often do YOU eat?

Currently, I'm putting away 3500ish calories... (5) 600-ish calorie meals plus a smaller meal with cottage cheese before bed. I eat about every 3 hours. I'm going to bump it to 4000 calories soon, if not now, and I was wondering if I should just eat smaller and more frequently, like (8) 500 calorie meals every 2 hours. I'm on spring break this week so I can try it out and get my timing down before I resume classes.

5-6 times a day. Make it a habbit and you can't do without.

I'm no stranger to eating all the time. I'm borderline obsessive about eating a meal every 3 hours and I've been doing it more than a year now!

That would be a problem for me... I work at a pizza place that uses very poor quality foods. Nearly everything comes from those cheap-ass grocery stores like Price-Rite... there is so much saturated fat, sodium, highly refined carbs, and preservatives in that stuff.

I used to eat 5 - 7 meals a day when I had read John Berardi and Tom Venuto's information. But, once I learned that it really didn't matter, I went back down to where I was confortable, which was 3 square meals a day. I may have a snack of two in the middle, but for them most part 3 meals per day.

It was a burden to eat when I was not hungry just to keep within the "5 - 7" meal theory. Was glad when I no longer had to do that.

Interestingly enough, I seem to have lost more fat when I went down to three meals. My measurements have not shunk and some things are actually bigger.

I'm always hungry, so a meal schedule is no problem for me. I'm going to try eating (8) 500 calorie meals (every 2 hours or so) for a couple days to see how it goes, then I'll try (6) 650 calorie meals (every 2.5-3 hours) for a couple days. I'll just pick whichever is easier and go with it.

So far, I've had 3 of my 8 meals today and I'm hungry by the time the next one comes around.

I pack my food for the day, then eat it whenever. Usually works out to 6-8 meals a day. Fewer when cutting, more when bulking.

I eat about 5/6 times a day. I get starving hungry about every 3 hours. Wake up in the middle of the night starving - Muscle Milk comes handy

I try and eat three or four times a day. During the weekdays lunch is my most calorie dense meal, filling nearly half my daily caloires. Weekends sometimes it's two with dinner with a date, family, or my friends taking up 75% of it.

Hasn't harmed me ... yet.

about 6 times a day.

Generally at about 8:30. 11:30. 2:00. 4:30 6:30, 9:30. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

6-8 meals a day. I seperate out my meals and snacks and eat em when I get hungry. When i'm bulking I just eat until full and eat again when Im hungry.

6 times a day but not at any specific times just spread out through out the day and make sure i get what i need at the right times of day for example protein after a workout

6:30 (breakast), 10 (snack), 12 (lunch), 4 (second lunch), 6:30 (shake), 9 (dinner), 10 (shake).
