I am back to WBB. I really have no idea why I haven't posted here in so long. I see that the powerlifting section has grown and become more busy. I am looking forward to reading it and contributing when I can. I will also start keeping a journal here as well.
My update:
BWT- 162-163(at night)
Current training
Mon- Bench assistance(raw work)
Tue- Squat/dl assistance(Raw work)
Thu- Delts/triceps/assistance
Sat- Heavy sq/dl(gear)/ every other week I do heavy bench work(shirt)
I joined a commercial gym in the past 2 months(Gold's). My training had become very stagnant and I was missing sessions for the first time in a very long time. I still go to Iron Island and train with my team every Saturday, but now during the week instead of lifting in my basement I train at Gold's(this was due to a lot of my training partner's quitting for various reasons...I think some grew a vagina). My training has been great lately and I am about 9 weeks out from my next meet which I plan to hit some PR's at. I bombed in my last meet because I sucked and wasn't prepared. This time will be different and my bodyweight is up for me, so that will only help. My most recent PR's are:
Squat- 565x2 straps down and no knee wraps(easy)
325x1(with a blue band and 2 sets of green bands ~400 lbs of tension)/ straps down and no wraps
Bench- 2-board press- 405x1 in a double denim(this was pretty easy and my top end sucks right now)
Deadlift- I pulled 505 for an easy single in just a belt. If I learn to get some pounds out of my gear on this movement I'll finally pull 550+.
My goals for the meet are simple. Hit PR's and total over 1500. I'm trying not to fixate on the numbers this time. I'll set my openers a few weeks out and go from there.
