...Not. I'm fat as hell!

I'm just starting, I've been lifting for as long as I can remember but I've always had a big belly. Well, it's time to change that. Cut starts tomorrow.

Anybody have a guess at bodyfat %? I know it's high, be brutal.

btw...I'm 6'1, 288 lbs...19' arms, 40' waist...

i'd say somewhere over 20, what's the diet like?

Somewhere over 20? Bro, you're rocking 30%ish for sure. You got some good size though. Cut up and you should look pretty good.

Its over 20, but the good news is your HUGE. You could yield some good results from heavy lifting and a decent cut.

You could be a scary dude in the weight room

You'd look great after a nice cut...

Thanks for the input guys.

Pretty much the diet and calorie intake need to take a nose dive....currently, i eat terrible - burgers, pizza, take-out....the usual crap. What should my daily calorie intake be? obviously i dont wanna shock my poor body :whip:

I don't know how I'm gonna live, never truly dieted before..:p

You're BIG and fat. Lose the fat and you'll be BIG. Take a look in the nutrition section & put together a clean diet!

You're massive.. I agree with the others.. you could be a huge strong mofo if you take the time! :D

Only you can find out your daily intake calories. www.fitday.com your diet for a week or so and then post it up in the diet forum for critque. There are some good threads in the diet forum too about what to eat and what not to eat.

Lol, don't worry.. once you start lifting and seeing results, you'll never want pizza and burgers again.

Yea you should definately go on a cut and if you do it right you should look ripped!

With a guy your size and with your diet, really all you have to do to start seeing changes is clean it up. Read the 'what a bodybuilder eats' thread, and you'll be down 20-30 lbs easy. If you're eating chicken, tuna, lots of vegetables and whole grains, instead of burgers and pizza, it'll be nearly impossible to maintain the weight you've hit.

You're gonna be a baaaaaaad man....

or if ur not willing to go that far, just make ur own burgers and pizzas instead of ordering out and it will cut the calories practically in half. looking large and in charge, now just cut some weight and u'll look great... that rhymed lol

Dude... You could be a biker with that belly... Grow out a wicked beard and forget about cutting ;)

Either that or cut and look like a ****ing monster!

Don't get hung over the whole "diet" thing. For starters don't think of it as a "diet", more like a transformation. Because that is essentially what you want, your body to go through a visual transformation. This will not include a diet, but rather a "lifestyle" change overall.
Theres nothing wrong with a burger and pizza every once in a while, everything should be in moderation.
I believe you should start slow, or you will start to quickly crave the food you love, and feel like its impossible to do this whole "diet" thing.
Start off picking two days a week where your going to eat out. After a month or so bring that down to once a week. Then bring it down to having just 1 actual meal a week where you get to induldge.
I know what it takes to do this. Not personally but from my brother. He is 6'7 and was 390lbs. I helped him get to 250lbs. If you need help dont hesitate to message me.
Overall comments on your physique. You do have a strong base to work with, and it seems most of the bodyfat is coming from the stomach. Including cardio several times a week with a lifestyle change and youll be good to go.
