I love them, i know they are high in sugar
should i totally avoid them while cutting
i eat about half a cut in the morning with 1/4 cup almonds and 1/4 cup oat cereal
excuse the spelling...RAISINS

Fruit in general is overrated, it's straight up fructose. Veggies are where it's at if you are looking to get your vitamins. I wouldn't totally avoid fruit, but don't go too overboard, and fruit juice is useless.

I use them as a gap filler when cutting.
My lunch is an 8 cup salad, huge chicken breast, handfull of raisins and baby carrots.

Fruit in general is overrated, it's straight up fructose.
Topping up hepatic glycogen levels is useful for staying in an anabolic state.

Raisins are great. They're tasty and pack a lot carbs in such a small amount.

raisins are pretty sugar packed and if you follow GI, they are pretty high up there. I myself prefer grapes, as raisins can get out of control with the quantity you eat.

They're particularly good if you mix them with oatmeal, flour, egg, sugar, and shortning and bake them.

i wouldn't worry about the whole "avoid fructose on a cut" thing unless i was 6-8% trying to get leaner, and even then you could still consume it and be ok (eg. during the start of a refeed).
at the end of the day if it fits into your daily macro breakdown then generally it's ok.
Love raisins... especially really good for early morning workouts... a big handful of raisins and 8oz of Nitrean (1 scoop)... digests easy and fast.. and keeps me going thru a good 45 workout session.
Plus, I just found out last year they are great for your teeth and gums..
And I specifically remember when my kids were born and first taken to the dentist.. they said to avoid raisins.. dumb-as_es..
