I read somewhere that Mackerel is a good healthy source of Fats so i bought some fillets. When i got home and read the label i was very suprised. The following is per 200 g fillet serving:
708 calories
61.8 g fat (12.6g's saturated)
Cholesterol 208mg
Sodium 1500mg
carbs 0g
fibre0
sugar 0
protien 37.8 g's
As high as the protien is in these SMALL fillet's. The calories, sodium, saturated fat and sodium in this fillet doesnt sound healthy to me. What do you guys think?
