View Full Version : 125lbs I want to gain weight

Hey guys, I am pretty skinny, i weight 15lbs and im like 6 feet tall.... i work out alot and im very strong for my weight (sq: 265, bench: 145, dead:305, powerclean: 165)

I want to fill out though, i dont wanna be the tall skiny kid that looks weak, i want to be the tall buff kid. I just need some information on how to fill out, uive been working for like 2 years at getting stronger, and ive been wrestling for 5 years. what should i do to start filling out, gain some mass than i can be that buff kid ive wanted to be seince i was 10.

give me some tips pls

Those lifts seem a little unbelieveable for your size, but if you've got decent figure for those lifts, the only other thing you need to do is EAT.

Peanut butter, steak, turkey, olive oil, oats, milk, milk, milk, almonds, peanuts, whey protein etc

Eat lots and lots of them and keep working out hard.

Nah me neither.. not suprisingly when I was clueless and going to the gym my curl was probably my best lift... I hardly ever do them now. Chins, pullups and deads are better ;)

Ladies, don't hate me...

I would think women would be better at curling then men. They should be naturals with a broom so it should come easily to them.

Dude! eat like everyone else said. But eat like your 20 or 30lbs heavier than what you are right now.

Times your body weight by 25 and eat that many calories a day. You want to hit at least 3,200 calories a day. Try to spread it out over 6 meals every day. Try to eat every 2-3 hours. It helps to take a high-calorie drink (shake) with your meals. 3200 / 6 = only 600 calories per meal! Now, I drink a protein shake 3-4 times a day larger than this! You can easily make a protein shake that is at least 400-500 calories and have it with whatever else you need for your nutritional needs. Like so:

Breakfast:
400-calorie shake
oatmeal
orange

Brunch:
400-calorie shake
walnuts
banana

Lunch:
400-calorie shake
tuna/chicken/fish/peanut butter sandwich
apple

Mid-afternoon snack:
400-calorie shake
walnuts/almonds/mixed nuts/peanut butter
dates/strawberries/blueberries/yogurt

Dinner:
(you don't even need the shakes anymore!)
lean, dead animal
1 cup veggies (sweet potatoes rock!)

Before-bed meal:
milk
cottage cheese
fruit/vegetable

Dude, I just so hooked you up with a diet plan! Remember to up your calories as you gain weight, and you will! (Remember 25 x your bodyweight = your daily caloric intake) Wow, how simple!

Don't try and use 25cals x lbs to gain. That is an insult to the complexity of the human body. You can't just shove it neatly into a friggin formula.

Track you cals for a week. If you don't gain, add more food. You might end up at 20cals x lb to gain, or maybe it's 35 x lb.

Science is smarter than you, don't try and generalise it.
