Post your pics from when you were a fat useless tub of lard or when you were a skinny little twig.

I'm sure everyone here must have one picture that they use to keep them motivated. I look at this picture from time to time, to make sure I'll NEVER EVER end up looking like that again.

This was me, aged 19, 5ft 7 at an awesome <120lbs... my lowest point ever. I had a 34 inch chest, 9 inch arms :( :( , 19 inch legs.

I'm now 170 and feeling SO much better. Now 40 inch chest, 14 inch arms, 24 inch legs. I'm still a little way from my goals but im more than satisfied with my progress and this picture helps to keep me motivated from ever looking this disgusting again.

So come on, cast your shame aside and post it for us all to see. Feel free to put in an "after" pic too so we can all see how far you have come.

i started off "skinny-fat", about 5 and a half years ago now, at 171 lbs during the summer after high school. i posted a picture a while back, let me dig it up ..

There are two sides to motivation when it comes to cleaning up your body. What not to become and what to become. You need them both and at different times.

All it takes is seeing some fat ass pack food in his face to give you renewed vigor at times... Sometimes, it takes a picture of Ronnie Coleman to jump start your diet. Either way, it is a combination of both for many individuals. Generally when the luster of one dies down, the other can pick up where the other left off. Sort of like a sea saw...

Just my thoughts.

Davidelmo

So, what did YOU used to look like? Former fatass, right?

Well, as far as fat, I was a fat ass. But not like everyone else who calls themselve a fat ass. I looked like your typical small beer belly dude... No one guess I was 260 anyway, 220 or so is what they guessed if that gives you an idea.

Someday I will get around to posting my older pictures. I need to upload them to the file server first though.

But my motivation was to be able to get my socks on without breaking a sweat and to teach my soon to be born child the right way to live in all aspects of life.

1st and 2nd pics are from 2002. approx 185lbs

3rd and 4th pics are from march 2005 before I hit the needle.

5th pic is from november 2005, nearing end of my cycle.

I got sick and couldn't do proper pct and blah blah blah excuses excuses. Anyways, I'm working my way back up to the 3rd and 4th pics. Should be there in about 4-6 more weeks, then I'll start working on getting the rest back.

That's the best motivation ever.

When I eventually have kids, I'd definately getting them started with health & fitness from an early age. Plus I will try to educate them about basic biology etc so they can make their own choices. I dont expect them to be a bodybuilder or anything, but I definately want them to be healthy. I would never pessure so much that it means they can't have fun or enjoy themselves, but I definately don't want a fatass kid.

In the UK the news said that this generation of children born now are the first in hundreds of years who are not expected to outlive their parents. That's pretty scary... I dont want my kid to die of a heart attack in their 50's.

Take it from me, "bald is beautiful." Finasteride doesn't work. Don't waste your time and money on it. I've been taking Proscar (Finasteride) for years supposedly, according to my urologist, to avoid an enlarged prostrate. My glorious head is as bald as it ever was. Luckily bald is in fashion these days.

Wow... Pretty amazing the difference. You were not terribly flabby though, at least not in that picture. What is more amazing isn't the fact that you lost the weight, but that your skin looks 10X heathier now, then it does then... That should inspire people in many ways... Either way, you certainly were not fat by America's standard... Interesting though.

However, one thing I did want to make note of and this applies to EVERYONE. How come it seems everyone's before pictures are tanless, unflexxed, posed in a horrible way and then when it comes time for their "transformation" they have a perfect tan, perfect smile, they are posing like they really want too etc... Just something that ALWAYS makes me laugh when looking at before/after pics. The tan alone can change the way someone looks drasticly. You can show a white as snow person and then tan them in the same day they will look totally different... Just something that I always take note of *chuckle*.

I'm snow white here, December 2004 (about 3 and a half years after the "fat" pic was taken, I think):
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Built/0c74fe26.jpg

In the "fat" pic, I was at a "healthy" weight, about 150 lbs, probably about 30-32% bodyfat. And gaining at a rate of 3-5 lbs a month. I blew up to 170 before I changed my diet and started lifting.

I can NOT tell you how much I wish I'd had the foresight that Crip had when he started. I would have LOVED to have seen a true progression from start to NOW.

Grrr... bygones.

Edited to add: RK - thanks!

Canadian Crippler- Im sure youve heard this before, but your right arm used to look alot like Arnolds back in his good old days. Looks to me like that peak could really explode to 22"+ when flexed...all kidding aside, great progress bro!

Built- I wondered if you were always in that condition, that transformation is unreal! You looked like an average woman id see on the street.

1st pic is me after a few years of training off n on and close to no knowledge at 130lbs. I realllllly wish I would have taken one before I started training though. The rest of the pics are just a couple I tend to look at every now and then for motivation.

Nice updates everyone:

Crip: Nice work.. I'd actually seen your progress pics before. I was impressed then and I'm impressed again now. You went from horribly skinny to pretty damned solid.. and you've clearly got the knowledge to back it up.

Built: Incredible transformation. Although those pics you posted aren't at your "worst" the difference is still clear. The pic you posted makes you look "average".. not fat by any means. Still, to drop over 15% body fat and replace a substantial amount with muscle is simply amazing.

Antek, lean as ever but you've added quite a lot of muscle in those 3 years, and clearly kept your 6 pack throughout! Nice work.

Sharkall, looking pretty solid. No longer chubby and soft.. looking bigger and stronger now. Great arm genetics too.. they look HUGE.

Keith: Good inspiration pics! I dont desire to be that big but they're still inspirational because it shows that if you put enough hard work in, you can acheive amazing things.

Thanks, I never directly work my arms. I guess they're just big. They were 17.5 inches in that picture. I think they are 17 now that I have lost 20 lbs. Also, I hate how my chest lags. It's starting to aggravate me, a lot. I have a measly 44" chest and I think I should be able to get it a couple more inches around.

Me around 20.5% after coming down from about 24 (I didn't take pics at 24, it was a disgrace, lets just say friends made fun of my lovehandles being big enough to put a bottle beer on them - like a coffe table)
http://www.fileupyours.com/files/24976/meat20ish_thumb.jpg

And this is me, 3-4 weeks later at about 17.3-17.5%
http://www.fileupyours.com/files/24976/meat17low.jpg

Now my body is acting weird since I've been a fatty all my life and it's kinda hesitant to drop fat. I'm going at a steady 1-1.5lb loss /week. Cutting takes so much time.

Oh yeah and in the first pic I didn't lift (actually I've never really lifted before in my life, aside from a couple of bad attempts where I didn't know what I was doing)

Now I'm at:
156-157lbs @ low 17%
Bench: horrible - like 145
Squat: 265ish
Dead: 255ish

Currently 6'1'', 205lbs despite about 3 months of slacking and no real progress in between -- rest assured I am motivated again and making good progress now. I don't think the pictures quite do the change justice, but the huge stretch mark on my right armpit can atest to my increased mass. (The appearance of increased definition in the first pic is largely a result of lighting, and I have a very similar BF in both pics.):

The one on the left is me now, the one on the right is me last december. I'm at the same bodyweight in each picture.

Looks like your chest is a bit more developed on the left. Same bodyweight though?

Yep, not a super drastic change, but I didn't really notice how much I've changed until I brought up the old picture.

Me about 7 months ago. This was taken 4 weeks after I got Intercostal Neuralgia, a nerve pain affecting your rib's/back - I havent had a real workout in 8 months. This was taken about 4 weeks after my injury and no working out. but 4 weeks was nothin back then, its been like 9 months. - so just be thankful you guys can still work out, even though i'll be back in the game soon.

edit, had to brighten one of those bitches up

The tan alone can change the way someone looks drasticly. You can show a white as snow person and then tan them in the same day they will look totally different... Just something that I always take note of *chuckle*.

Yes, looking fit AND risking skin cancer!

This thread is kinda old, but good none the less! I've got more motivation just looking at other's transformations. We should keep this thread going.
