got sick of 100 bottles of vitamins all over the place, so i took the largest one, emptied it, put a superman sticker on the white bottle, and filled it with everything. it's probably a $150 bottle right now haha.
1) should i be concerned about different pills just being thrown together? like can they affect one another somehow?
2) would it be in my best interest to get some silica packs to put in there for freshness? can i just take some from a fresh bottle of random vitamins?
(FYI to anyone trying something like this. it is very, very convenient; i just pour a ton of vitamins out onto the cap and choose waht i need at the time. basically any time i eat i have vits. the one con is that you cannot put liquid pills in there. i put redline pills into a smaller version of what i'm currently doing, and a pill split and ruined ~$50 worth of pills. sucked. )

haha i actually went on ebay and spent $4 on that sticker, i thought it just made the package. **** animal packs, i got tha supaman pack yo!
anyone have any thoughts on whether or not i should put some of those silica pouches in there to absorb moisture? the container blocks light, but there's just so much $ worth of pills i want it to be kept safe
(btw i can't even explain how convenient this makes my pill regimen. anyone taking more than 5 different pills a day may find this very very handy)

I pack up a whole day's worth in a big bottle and pack it. I just trickle a few supps in at a time through the day (damned fish oil!).

yeah i was too afraid to put in fish oils; i will never again put a liquid pill with any reasonable amount of others again....

The silica packs are for long term storage at room temp.
If you put your supps in the fridge it's not needed.

don't put them in the fridge, but they won't be stored long term (no more than a few months to go through the bottle). think i should look into getting them?

yes, no, maybe? my guess is it isn't worth the time / effort to find the silica packs. agreed?

i read to not put your vitamins next to the window, not to leave it out of its container for too long, and to NOT mix different pills together for a prolonged period of time.
This may just be superstition, and nothing will REALLY happen, but... yeah, that's just what i always remembered...

i understand that a window would be bad because of potential light hitting the vitamins, and heat too. out of the container would definitely kill freshness of some things.
as for mixing them, i don't see how it could hurt them, but i wondered myself, mostly just because i have so much $ worth in there. i guess if there were interactions between certain pills, it would mostly be limited to the very outter edges of the pill

I have one of those daily pill cases that has four compartments(Morning, Lunch, Evening, bedtime). I just fill it up four pills per compartment. I save the bed time one for the fish oil pills. I also keep a pack a gum with me to help lessen the breath effect of fish oil. I hate the burps.

i always take fish oil when i'm at home (won't risk one breaking inside my big jar, so no liquid pills of any variety in there). BUT, i found a fool proof way to avoid the fish burps - swallow them down with a lot of liquid directly before eating a meal.
when making a meal, i pour my glass of milk to the very top, so i can have a quick sip to wash down my fish oils, then go eat. i never taste them when doing it that way

he's definitely on point, the vitamin C pills are oxidizing slightly, it's making me wonder if i should dump everything or just the ones that aren't looking as white as before.
i won't be doing this type of thing again, unless mixing a much smaller variety of pills, and quantity too, to gauge if there will be issues
