I have this bench (link is at the end of post). Right now i only have 125lbs in weights and no olympic bar but im planning on getting the 300 lb olympic weight set and wanted to know if this bench could hold it all cuz i plan on having all the weight on there for when i do squats and less for bench.
Here it is:

The link doesn't show me a bench. It just kicks me back to the index page for that site.

If you buy one with weights, they come with 100lbs.
I wouldn't put much more than that on it. Find a better bench.
for 1250$ i would hope it would hold plenty.

lol no thats not the price, its cuz its on epinions not an actual site thats selling it, i dont think the bench is sold new anywhere ne more its a few years old. I think it was like $150. So wud the answer be no? i really dont want to by another bench.

My old bench is fairly similar to that, though of lower quality, and I've added band tension to increase the weight held on the rack over 300lbs. It was pretty shaky, so be careful with it. Also, if you get an olympic bar with a rack that narrow, balancing weight as you load it is going to be a BITCH. I had to slide the bar all the over just to load 25lbs on one side, so you could be in for a lot of excitement.
Of course, I also remember how frustrating it was years before that to be stuck with only 100lbs. I ended up doing things like hanging 10 gallon buckets full of water from each side to increase the weight, so maybe you should go for it.

well what would you guys say would be the weight capacity for the bench i have? If its 200-250 i could deal with that too. I really do want to by another bench i would rather just get a gym membership if im gonna spend that kind of money.

Steel is a pretty strong material. Most benches you see can hold at least 500lbs. At least, I would never be worried about a bench breaking under weight. If the bar can hold it, the bench more than likely will have absolutely no problem with it.

That I would have to disagree with. I don't know if the thread is in the archives or not, but someone on this board told a story about him loading up about 300 pounds on his bench and almost killing himself when it collapsed. His roommate saved his life.

you know, maybe you are right. That bench seems pretty light.

I had one like that and while I did put 185-225 on it once or twice, anything over 135 felt shaky to me.......Especially when I put the weight back up after my lift. I would not use more that 135 on a regular basis or alone on it.

You know, I wanted to say thanks for pointing this out. I may not get that specific one, but I saw a few other things on the site that have truly caught my eye.
