So what is the deal nowadays with creatine? A few years ago when i used to take it was all about loading then a few months after we heard it was bad to load. Im 6'2-185 and im looking just t put on a bit more weight. what amount should i take? should i load?

There is no need to load. Take about 5 grams post workout.

yes load, and then for maintainence i take 5 grams on off days and 10 grams on w/o days (before and after lifting)

You DON'T need to load. There have been studies that within 20 days(I believe) it all evens out in your system anyway.

That is correct. Loading isn't bad for you per se, it's just not necessary. Even guys who load will tell you that their results are the same after four weeks or so. I would go with 10 gr, 5 in the am, 5 post-workout.

I read i think on this sight about cell tech and their loading period,,, i know i know we all hate cell tech and muscle tech, but cell tech says to load 20 grams a day for 5 days, this sight somewhere, stated an experiment that said a person should load for 3 days at 20 grams per day and then just 5 grams everyday after that,
creatine is all about saturation of the system,
if you dont load and take creatine regularly this saturation wouldnt take place for 28 days, so the brief loading period is supposedly helpful, with a following maintenance period, and before creatine are you taking enough protein or MRP's

Ya, you can load or just take the 5 grams a day and within 4 weeks or so it all evens out.
I think the loading phase is just a ploy to make people use up the creatine quicker and therefore spend more money on the product.
