whats your diet like?

It mainly consists of Chicken, Peanut Butter, wheat bread and milk. Ive tried cutting out he pb lately tho because it is so high in fat. Im trying to get my body fat down around 10% then settle down with a better diet for putting on muscle at around 12%. Thats my dream anyway, I have been heavy for most of my life so it seems hard for me to drop fat. I'm 17, 5'11 165-70ish

I'd estimate 16%, give or take a couple. Any reason why you want to cut being at this bf%? And you say you have been heavy all your life, do you consider yourself heavy now?

I still consider myself a little over weight, but at this point i weigh the same as i did 3 years ago. (age 14) I would also perfer a leaner look opposed to being bigger and bulkier.

So do I. But do not consider yourself as over weight as of now dude lol. Im sure theres a few endomorphs out there that wont be too happy with that comment.

Bad idea, protein and fat are your building blocks of nutrition. Also, if you're cutting, high fat foods like peanut butter will give you the "I'm full" feeling and allow you to go through your day without thinking about food every 5 minutes.

If I had your body, I would clean bulk. I'm not sure what your long term goals are, but I think you could put on quite a few lean pounds and have a really nice physique. Read up in the diet and nutrition section and learn as much as possible, apply it to your goals, and you will achieve them.

6 months in, looking really good. I'd say you have a naturally lean body with most of the excess weight storing around the stomach. Keep up the good work, read up on diet and decide how to apply that knowledge to reach your goals.

Please do not take offense, but if this is true, then you really should find another forum.

u are at most 15% i'd say closer to 13%. if u really want to cut, just eat slightly less of everything, keep the pb in. or increase ur activity level. but soon after ur cut i'd go for a long slow clean bulk.

Ya I would say your bulk isnt finished yet. I would keep it going. But then again it's completely up to you. Still, you look like your doing well, so keep it up.

The main reason I want to cut right now is I can hardly see any definiton around my core. That seems to be where the hold over from my younger bigger days is. Can anyone give me an estimate on how long it takes on average to cut about 3-4% of body fat?

It depends.....Are you cutting from 35-32? That goes pretty quickly.......13-10....not so much

You're young, bulk while you still can!
