Im craving for some powerfull traps, anyone have any real good exercises i could add onto my backday so when im good to go ill be working toward a thick neck? My favorite thing that strongmen usually have are neckmuscles you can grab almost like orbs.

I need to get me some straps, my hands just havnt been strong enough to hold the weight im capable of doing even though ive always trained with together. I can deadlift in the 500's with chaulk but since i cant use it in my gym i struggle to hold 400 in place for more then 2 reps. Makes bb shrugs difficult too with more then 135

another reason they have big old neck is that they probably eat like crazy.. all the biting and chewing, tearing up meat, tearing up chicken, and turning their heads left and right to make sure no one is stealing their foods hahah

Theres nothing wrong with using Db's, if anything you can get a better squeeze.

You know something that really works the traps is the farmers walk. That combined with dumbell shrugs are why my traps are so damned big.

It's fine if you have heavy enough DB's.

Behind the back traps are great for trap development. If your squatters ass isn't too big that it gets in the way, I would give them a try.

I just started doing power cleans again for the first time in years and man those hit your traps if you do them right.
