I've heard good things, but, to be honest, I'm skeptical. I'm sure it's a fine machine, but I don't know if it's a necessity at all.

My girlfriend's high school has those machines and their athletics program makes them out to be some kind of holy grail of explosive training. One of the "rites of passage" for the boys' teams is throwing up after a SuperCat workout.
