So this is me 7 months into lifting- I am just now smoothing everything out (hitting all of my body as I didn't do legs until 3 or 4 months ago).

I have gotten more serious into diet about 4 months ago, and have been pretty seriously bulking for about a month and a half.

I used to be 5 7 and 120-125 lbs. Now I am hitting the same height but about 152 naked in the morning.

And any tips on posing form will be welcomed becasue my poses probably suck

I am not used to being this fat at all- especially on the love handles. I am afraid that cutting will be difficult- but I do have a semi quick metabolism.

Thanks for the encouragement! :strong:

Man, ur only 18... ofcourse your metabolism is still fast, mine hit a brick wall when i turned 21.
You need to not be concerned with Fat gain right now. If you truly wanna add mass, just EAT EAT EAT.
When you are ready to Cut, at your age, it wont take long.

Yeah I am thinking of hitting 160 or 170 (naked in the morning) before cutting. What do you guys think about that?

What do you guys say is lagging the most?

forearms, shoulders, and chest. I see a big gap of improvement. Congrats. Your back is your strong point.

Legs

Absolutely- expected that one. That is also the point that has been trained the shortest amount of time. So I am definently working on that. :whip:

Forearms- absolutely- it is hard for me to hold on to the weight I can dead for 2 reps. I have been working on them with hammer curls and some static holds.

Shoulders- sorta surprised at this because I feel that my shoulder lifts are pretty strong compared to my accessory lifts and my chest lifts (but then again i don't know much). They used to be much smaller, so they have come a long way. Any tips? I've been doing heavy standing military presses, rear lateral raises, arnies, and side laterals- just keep on keepin on or try something new?

Chest- yep, my weakest link in the realm of large upper body muscles. I am working on it with 5x5 bench press (used to do a lot of spotter help bench press which i have recently learned is wrong) and 3x8 dumbell incline press

Is the "congrats back" comment sarcastic?

I am really thinking about just eating everything in site. Now that I see myself in photos I see that I look more like a skinny fat guy more than anything. :burger:

I just hope my recent injury (breathing related headpounding) goes away so i can :strong: more.

What looks big on someone 5'7 though. I figure being 200 lbs and shredded seems out of the question maybe over 10 years. But maybe 170 shredded would be good? Or am I underestimating?

Good progress man. I'm 19 and have the same super quick metabolism, it kinda blows when you're trying to gain weight.

Food is floatin in man.

And yes, high metabolism sorta sucks, but I think it will help come cut time.

I was saying "congratulations" for your overall progress.

And aside from that, I was saying that your back is the nicest looking body part.

Oh ok.

Thanks, I feel the same way. Too bad when people try to compare "guns" with me  I can't just rip off my shirt and tell them to compare backs. haha Too many curl jockeys.

But thanks for the tips, and they will be put into action.

That is a definite improvment. I was not as big as you when I was 18. I think the best thing you can do is start taking in gobs of protein (and everything else) so your body can start buliding muscle mass.

Thanks for the encouragement man. By the way- you are lookin pretty thick man. I am just eating everything at this point. I used to worry about what I was takin in, which is probably better, but I am gonna try just eating and eating-yet making sure I'm getting enough protein.

Heh, no. I get this question all the time (what nationality are you?).

My mother is about 80% hispanic (mainly mexican/spanish) and has random Irish and German ancestors, as well as a chunk of American Indian in her.

My dad is mostly white (as in English and Irish/Scottish type) with a few stray Native American ancestors as well.

I have my dad's facial features for the most part with my mom's skin, hair, and eye color.

I get asked if I am Middle Eastern, Greek, Sicilian, Indian, Pakistani etc...

You look a bit like the guitarist from System of a Down in the second set of photos.

Very good progress. Be carefull when attempting deadlifts for the first time. I see that you've guestimated a 235 x 2 max. Have you been doing deadlifts and not maxed, or are you just assuming you can hit that without ever trying the lift?

Whatever you experience with the lift is, be careful and make sure you've learned proper form before attempting to max out. Better safe than sorry and sore as hell.

The powerlifting forums (http://www.wannabebigforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=48) should be a good resource if you need any advice on the lift.

*shrug* i'm not into SOAD

That isn't a guess. That is what I have done as of April 2006. Those are my PR's. I have done a 5x5 dl at 185 and 195 since then and could probably add another 10 llbs. I think that my max should be higher now if my grip can handle it. I can hardly hold onto that 235 for those two reps. :help:
