canned yams

would it be ok to eat canned yams which i know are really swet potatoes...i know the canned yams have tons of sugar but wouldnt it be ok if they were rinsed and drained? wouldnt this elimiminate alot of the sugar?

why not just buy fresh yams?

sometimes im just to busy to cook them...whats the easiest and fastest way to cook them when there fresh?

peel and boil or i cover them in foil and bake them

I believe most canned yams are packed in syrup and therefore, packed with sugar.
