I know we've all seen some moron training who's so concerned about how much they're lifting and whose watching them that they almost end up killing themselves. What's the scariest thing you've seen happen in the gym?
I saw a guy once doing deadlifts with way more than he could ever handle. On his first set he did two shakey reps and couldn't rack the bar. He took the weight off to get the bar back on the rack and put double the weight on than the first set(if you could call it a set). He grabbed the bar and slid it off the rack and it crashed to the floor and it almost planted him head first like a lawn dart. He spent the next 20mins lying flat on a bench.
A buddy of mine saw a smith machine tip over with a guy doing squats with a lot of weight. The only thing that saved him were the 45's. How the hell did he tip a smith machine?
