Kind of embarassing asking this question but what the hell. I recently started taking AtLargeNutrition's Creatine (about a week ago) and have had difficulty getting and maintaining erections since. I'm a healthy 21 year old and have had absolutely no problem whatsoever in the past when it came to my toolery. I'm currently dating a few girls and am sexually active with them, so this problem has been quite a nuisance needless to say. Is it possible creatine has had a negative effect on my libido and ability to maintain erections? I can't think of anything else I have done differently that would have caused this problem. If this is the problem is there anything I can do or take that would remedy it asap? Has anyone else experienced this while taking creatine? Any help or advice you guys can give would be appreciated. Thanks.

I can't think of why creatine would have that effect.
Are you under a lot of stress? Any emotional stuff going on? Do you use any drugs? Tobacco? Drink heavily?
If it continues, I'd see a doc.

er...um...I have no problems when I'm on creatine
can you think of anything else that could be causing the problem?

Can't think of any emotional or mental problems going on. I work alot and have the normal stress most people have from everyday life so nothing that would have any side effects like those mentioned above. Don't smoke, don't do drugs, drink socially (probably once every other week) so it can't be anything like that causing the problem.

I have never seen, heard, or experienced any such issues with any form of creatine. In fact, I would say there is ZERO correlation between creatine use and libido.
There are so many possibilities. You could have an underlying fear that creatine could be harmful to your health and this is a subconscious reaction.
Anyway, if you think it could be the creatine why not stop taking it?
You should also see your doctor.

Oh come ON!
Creatine's in steak. Feeding hubby a steak usually has an, um "positive" outcome - if creatine caused these kinds of problems, only vegetarians would be able to get it up.
Enough with this nonsense.

If i just explain, i have cycled creatine and each time the same thing has happened, coincidence? i think not as it has never happend before! i am fully aware that creatine is in steak etc but no way will you ever digest 5 grams a day from food alone . point being creatine is good and does the job for sure but a high doses CAN cause problems for SOME people not ALL. when I take creatine i have much less sensation in the region not total impotency. I have seen this type of issue on other forums so its not just me. Can we have open minds here as its meant to be a discussion after all. shoot me down if you like as im new to this forum but not new to bodybuilding.

This sounds like bull**** to me...
Open minds? You're crazy. In no way could creatine affect your penis.
Sorry, but you have to be doing something else wrong.
Maintaning an erection has to do with bloodflow. Creatine does not impeded blood flow. So there you go. It isn't the creatine.

Enough with this nonsense. That's because steak also contains a lot of arginine.
