I have searched through some of the pre-exhisting threads already and found nothing to my concern-Which follows.
I weight 165 lbs, 5'11-6'0. I'm not a fat person but I have no shape and/or form to me. I work at a carlot. I could be doing anything from answering the phone to pulling a motor. My problem is I work everyday but sunday, 9-6. 9-3 on Saturday. And I am not very fond of the gym. My brother has his own weight room and I do have access to equipment. I figure i'm at a good weight and age to start lifting weights. I want to get muscle tone and strength. I would love some muscle mass but the muscle tone and strength are what i'm aiming for. I refuse to use any weight gainer/protein shakes. I'm not looking to become huge, but extremely fit and cut. Athletic body. The defined six-pack, chest arms etc.
I need some advise on how to best achieve this. I also hear running/walking is good for the abdomen. I only drink water, no cokes or sport drinks. Cutting out all meats besides fish for the simple fact its the best source omega 3 fatty acids. Is it higher reps, lower weight for muscle tone?
Any advise helps.
