Well, i was psyched (spelling) about starting by bulk today, but of course something has to go wrong. Saturday night i catch the stomach flu, all night im puking. Sunday i can barely move i sit in bed all day, and today (Monday) im still feeling weak, i eat like barely anything and get full super quick. I feel as if im gonna lose weight and dont know if ill be able to get back on track anytime soon, i missed my workout today from being so weak but i went to check out a supplements store regardless. I wasnt really relying on the guy, but more you guys but anyways he said these would be the best weight gainers i could get.

and the last one was some muscle milk (sorry dont remember)
But wich one do you think would be the best i have a tub of creatine and Nitrix even tho that definetly wont work from what i have heard and im just looking for the best results. And also i dont like proteins in wich u have to take like 5 scoops in 1 glass because that just makes we want to puke
thanks guys any help is appreciated
oh ya and for nitrix do u have to take it the day you work out, otherwise you wont look big, and does it only make you look bigger int he area that you worked out in?

Read some of the threads in the diet/nutrition forum and don't bother buying a weight gainer. The best way to put more meat on your bones is to eat more food. You don't know where the excess carbs in a weight gainer come from. But if you make it yourself, you know exactly what went in it.
To answer your question, hoever: as far as I know, Muscle Milk is BY FAR the best product of the bunch you've listed. It's expensive, but tastes so good!
You're on a bulk: why do you need to mix 5 scoops of anything in one glass? Add more liquid to it...mix it with whole milk and you'll get even more calories in it.
Finally, don't piss your money away on nitrix. Return it and put the money towards more food. It'll do you better.

Thanks man, but are you sure its not a good idea to buy a weight gainer? I mean the only reason that i want to do this is because alot of the time i do not have as much food as i would like, and im not going to be replacing meals with it but im goin to just be having them extra on the side to add more calories. So do you recommend Muscle Milk over a good protein like Whey, or should i just stick to protein? I mean i dont need much protein for my body considering 120 pounds is around like 2 of those shakes + all the food ill eat in 1 day. And when you guys make shakes how do finish a whole one, did it take you awhile to get use to all the calories/carbs in 1 shake, cuz i sure as hell cant finish a whole one without starting to feel sick. And can you guys down them easy now that you have been drinking them for awhile, i mean chunky pieces of oats arent exactly ideal in a good ol milkshake.

I agree with your post 100%, but what exactly do you mean by this. ^^^
What wouldn't be labeled?
Most times it's all maltodextrin. Looking at the amount of carbs and the order of ingredients should be all you need.

That's true, it is labeled. Some of the weight gainers are packed full of ****ty simple carbs, some aren't. Personally, I like mixing up my own concoction. I having fresh fruit in them ;)

So what makes simple carbs ****ty?
And what makes malto different then?

Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide, meaning it is composed of multiple monosaccharides. A simple carb is a single monosaccharide, like glucose, galactose or fructose. I believe that disaccharides, such as sucrose, are considered simple carbs as well.
Biology is not my strong point, so please excuse my ignorance when/if I'm wrong. From what I've read, monosaccharides, namely glucose/dextrose, are good post workout because they help replenish depeleted glycogen stores. At other times of day, however, simple carbs are more or less turned into fat. I don't know the biology behind it, but I was under the impression that complex carbs don't turn to fat as "easily". Complex carbs take more energy to digest because they have to be broken down into glucose before the body can use them, so maybe that's why.
Again, this is my understanding of what the difference is. If I'm wrong please let me know!
After all that, I guess maltodextrin isn't different from other complex carbs. I think I just talked myself into a corner lol
Someone please chime in and let me know what the deal with maltodextrin is!

I believe that disaccharides, such as sucrose, are considered simple carbs as well.Only monosaccharides are considered simple sugars. Simple meaning something in its most basic form.
At other times of day, however, simple carbs are more or less turned into fat.Would you care to explain that one?

I was explaining what I thought was correct, with the disclaimer of "if I'm wrong let me know".
Anyone who knows the correct information please share it!

The biggest difference between malto and dex is the osmolality and the taste. Malto splits into the two dex molecules its composed of very easily - they're very weakly bound to each other.
Calling malto a complex carb is like calling a poorly executed kickback a compound lift.
Think of maltodextrin as a simple carb.
Not that there's anything WRONG with that. ;)
