Hey guys just got home from down around the Dayton Ohio area, hooked up with my new sponsor "Rockstar Energy Drinks". Wow my rep is a freaking Beast!!!! We met at a Pilot Truckstop along I-70, he got out of the Rockstar van and I was like DAMN this dudes big. I dont mean powerlifter big, I mean bodybuilder big. He had some good size going on, I looked at him and said Damn you did not tell me you lifted. He of course says that he just does it to stay healthy. He was definaltely a pretty big and healthy dude.Said his best bench was 405 and that he does it for the size not strength. Still 405 is a BIG bench. This guy is SUPER cool and is very supportive.

Well needless to say he was all about helping me out and getting a foot in the door in the weightlifting world. He hooked me up with 6 cases, that is a crapload of energy drinks. I'm gonna be like Cornholio from Beavis and Butthead at Kenny Patterson's meet in a couple of weeks.

So if any of you all use Energy Drinks, give Rockstar a try. I like there juiced drinks best, but they are all good.

Rockstar gives me HORNS!!!!! HAHA!!!!

Hey good to hear they sponsering you. It's good to see some mainstream sponsers in the powerlifting game.

You know that the whole "energy drink" thing started in Japan, right? If you don't believe me, read this about Lipovitan D, a drink that tastes like Red Bull and has been around for decades: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipovitan

Anyway, I'll give it a try for you Wolfy!!!! If they're sponsoring PLers, they've got to be cool!

Awesome, Wolfy. I think I could be a spokesman for Snapple Elements energy drinks. I have at least one or two a day and they taste awesome. I may have to try the Rockstar, though. Indeed, if they are sponsoring PL'ers they are OK in my book.

Rockstar is pretty good...they were giving free samples away on campus. I guess we're a pretty good target.

You know I use to use a lot of stuff like that for pick me before workouts. Then just stopped because I thought they probably where not good for me. I must say yesterday I had huge cup strong coffee before a workout. It was one of the more intense and best strength workouts in some time was the result. So I guess they have there place.

How does the energy from these drinks compare to that of coffee or tea? I've never had an energy drink before but now I want one damn it :D

Its probably a little stronger since there more than just caffeine.

I will drink the green jolt, but all other energy drinks taste like crap. ESPICALLY MONSTER.... YUCK

Not to dis Rockstar though, im sure they have a nice product and their support will help you on the way.

Its probably a little stronger since there more than just caffeine.

There is 150 mg of caffeine in one can of Rockstar. Coffee contains anywhere from 80 mg to 135 mg. Espresso is 100 mg. So it's no more than 2 cups of coffee.

Most you to have Ephedra, Which is the ECA stack people use. I think the newer drinks have other forms of caffeine like guarana,,maybe some quick carbs. I stick mostly with my Stout espresso with regular strong coffee.

Yeah hopefully this is the start to something big. The powerlifting world is virtually wide open for one of these companies to come in and start marketing there product. That is one of the things i told them, they need get a stronghold on the market. If they would do that they would be able to make tons of money off our sport. And in return give money back and help us grow into a bigger out of the shadows sport.
