View Full Version : Good way to wake up for a morning workout.

So I work from 9 am to 10pm monday through wednesday, and am getting really sick of working out until 11:30 or so at night. And am going to try to get into the routine of lifting before work. Basically I could use some suggestions of small amounts of foods I can eat that won't upset the stomach. I plan on eating my actual breakfast after I lift, but I need to put something in my stomach so I have some energy.

I would go to bed earlier, wake up earlier, eat a normal breakfast, drink some water, and let it digest for at least 30 minuts, then head to the gym. When you get back get a bite to eat and continue your day.

I usually wait an hour to be on the safe side.

Both suggestions are great. Choose whichever suits you.
