View Full Version : increasing calories

I'm trying to gain some lean body mass. It's going okay, I've been steadily putting on half a pound a week for about three months now, and I'm happy about the rate it's going at--making solid gains, etc. with a minimum of fat.

My question is, as I continue to put on weight, the calories I need just to maintain increases. So, to keep on putting on weight, I would need to keep increasing the number of calories right--to stay ahead of the curve, so to speak, right? Otherwise, what might have been enough to put on mass two months ago, for instance, may only be enough now to maintain, or put on mass at a slower rate.

I don't know if I've asked my question clearly enough. If you need clarification, I'll be happy to provide it.
