i weigh 140lbs. last time i checked my body fat it was like 17 or 18%, i swim just about every event. my lifting is very limited though i have my dads old benchpress but thats about it. i use it to do squats and olympic curls too. i try to run a couple of miles every day. i just need some advice on how to get back into shape for the next swim season.

your BF is kind of high for your weight, if it really is that high, you should focus on putting on muscle all over for awhile. give WBB#1 a try until you have a bit more muscle on your frame, then do some sport specific routines (whatever those may be)

Can you tell us a little more?

What events (and times)?
How tall are you?
How long have you been swimming? Do you do other sports? Do you swim competitively year round?

Obviously, you need to spend more time in the pool. Running is ok for a change of pace, but it will do next to nothing to recondition the muscles you need for competitive swimming.
