How low is too low? My body fat is consistant a 2.8. Is that normal? What are some of your lowest body fat %'s?
Thanks

Your body fat isn't 2.8.

Well, thats the thing, I ll give you the info and you can do your own tests. I already used a machine to do it. It was very weird because my buddy did it before me, came out with a normal 13. I do it and it comes up with an error. I swear to god the thing would not even give me the percentage. I am not real skinny or anything....

What kind of "machine" was it? Also doing a body percentage test by height and weight is not very accurate.

I am not sure exactly what it was, but you had to enter infomation such as waist, weight, height, and stand on it. It was kinda like a scale, but not....We came up with the same conclusion. I would be dead if it was that low. Its just weird when the machine comes up with an error for me then works perfect for him. We did it several times...same thing. I know there are other more accurate ways to test, but I would have to go to doctors and pay $$ to get that done.

No, go to a local gym and have one of the trainers measure it with calipers.

I sure do have pictures, and I can get more. I have never been to the gym. All I do is Cycle 12 Miles on Monday, Wendsday, Friday, and Sunday. I also do weighted pushups in my room, which is as close to working out as I have really gotten too unfortunately. Should I cut down on Cycling?
I can post some random pics right now from vacation 2 months ago. In fact I think I will post them. I can get some better ones.

Those machines aren't accurate at all, so no point in bothering with them. Use calipers, a mirror, or if you want accurate, DEXA.

Anyway...you're not 2.8...you'd be a corpse like the lovely gal above. Maybe you should go get a DEXA test.

This is true.
That was not my preferred picture of an emaciated individual, but it was the best thing google images came up with. I confess I did feel some pretty serious pangs of guilt putting up images of anyone who was starved to that degree, but I couldn't pass up on the bikini top.
I'm reasonably certain that makes me a bad person.

Denim it only makes you a funny person. I am trying to get pics up but cant find the damn usb cord!!!I honestly agree with everyone here...I dont see how its possible for me to have a 3% bodyfat.
I drank a liter or so of water before using one of the machines, and my LBM went up about 10lbs...not very accurate

If you know you're not skinny or lean, why would you claim to have 2.8% bf in your first post?
Machines that measure bodyfat by bioelectric impedence are notoriously not accurate. They give different measurements for people with normal builds as opposed to athletic/muscular builds. They also give different measurements depending on your electrolyte levels and levels of hydration and even how clean the sensor pads and your scan are. If you really want to know how lean your are get a DEXA scan.
